Spent two nights here in an Airbnb hosted by Jonathan and Elena. Without a doubt it is one of the best. Great apartment, great location, and best hospitality. Thank you!

I loved the design of the studio I stayed in. It looked exactly like in the pictures. You can see the hard work the owners placed into making this place cozy, comfortable and elegant. The remote control for lights around the room was also a nice touch, liked it a lot. I had a fast check in, clear instructions that made the self check in easy. The owners were amazing, very present and responsive. The TV had Netflix, Disney plus and several other accounts. The kitchen was amazingly prepared with all needed. There was cold water in the fridge. There were multiple towels even jf the studio was booked for one. Next to the desk, there was a draw board with a welcoming personalized note. Made you felt welcomed.

Now a couple of things that were not that pleasant. First, the name of the studio on Airbnb has a different name from the one in Google maps. The building is old and soundproof is basically zero, floors are moving, you can hear other guests on the hallway talking or walking. Second, the area. Not sure if it’s the safest at night, during the day let’s say it’s fine. There were a couple of police checks before I was heading back to the Airbnb and they asked if I am aware of safety in the area during the night. Third, my studio did not have outdoor windows. Also because the building was old, there was an unpleasant smell in the room, hard to get out. Now Elena and Jonathan were very prompt to help and try to fix the issue, but I guess it’s a bigger problem. Overall, I would say a fair price for a nice clean studio with a modern design.

Fantastic apartment, actually better than my own home! Very tastefully decorated, with comfortable bed (and sheets), good air con, WiFi, full kitchen, absolutely perfect and very safe. Loved the old stone wall and high ceiling. Hosts are very helpful and do everything to make your stay fabulous!

Wir wurden während dem Schlaf beraubt!

Bereits die Hinfahrt zur Unterkunft hat uns ein unsicheres Gefühl gegeben, da der Taxifahrer kurz vor Ankunft die Türen verriegelt hat.
Vor dem schlafen gehen haben wir noch die Zimmer-Türen verriegelt, jedoch nicht überprüft, ob das Fenster hinter dem Bett zum Hausflur im 2 Stock ebenso verriegelt ist.
Kurz nach vier sind wir durch ein Geräusch wach geworden. Jemand hat das Fenster geöffnet und den Vorhang ein Stück beiseite geschoben. Bis wir wach geworden sind hat der Dieb aber bereits das auf dem Nachttisch liegende Handy geklaut und ist weggerannt. Wir haben den Vorfall direkt der Co-Gastgeberin Heather gemeldet. Ihre Reaktion war sehr verwirrend und verletzend zugleich. Sie war unhöflich, hat uns direkt als Lügner betitelt und uns ebenso vorgeworfen, den Dieb reingelassen zu haben.
Diese unprofessionelle Reaktion hat einen faden Beigeschmack. Es wirft die Frage auf, ob die Gastgeberin da nicht mit drin gesteckt hat.
Aus Sicherheitsgründen haben wir sofort eine neue Unterkunft gebucht. Wer weiß was sonst noch abhanden gekommen oder passiert wäre!
Wir würden euch dringend davon abraten diese Unterkunft zu buchen. Dieses Gefühl der Unsicherheit wünscht man keinem!

Was wir vorher nicht wussten ist, dass laut auswärtigem Amt das Gebiet Santa Ana zu meiden ist.

Ich kann die letzte Bewertung nur bestätigen, diese Gegend sollte definitiv als Tourist gemieden werden. Die Gastgeber dieser Unterkunft scheinen mit den Betrügern im Viertel unter einer Decke zu stecken. Fenster und Türen werden nachts absichtlich nicht verriegelt, so dass Einbrecher leichtes Spiel haben die Gäste auszurauben.
