Tocumen International Airport Panama

Very nice airport, especially the new part. The old section could use more seating in the gate waiting area. Also there are no airport maps for those who have never been to this airport before and don’t know their way around. Overall it is very nice and efficient airport. It is recommended that you use Uber or else rent a vehicle for transportation in Panama. Taxi service is usually can be very expensive.

I was very impressed with this airport. Clean, large variety of shops and food spots. Easy to get round.

ever since i first stepped foot into the new terminal, i really enjoyed this airport, so many options for food and a lot of walking space, especially in terminal 2. Much of the crowding in terminal 1 has finally evened out and created a very pleasant airport experience. Terminal 2 is very cool and has great architecture.

Haven't been here in awhile. Lots of changes. New International Terminal 2. Clean. Big. Comfortable.

VIP is the way to go. Picked up at the terminal brought to vip lounge after being guided through customs.

I enjoyed my time at the lounge while I waited for my flight to Guatemala. The airport is large and has two main terminals. It's a short four and half hour flight to Panama City which is one of the most amazing places to party in Central America. The customs line was smooth and I had no issues collecting my belongings in baggage claim. I would recommend using Uber to get to your hotel or final destination. In addition, don't bother converting money and wait till you leave the airport to buy a sim card because they are much cheaper at the local convenience shops.

HUGE airport. We landed in one terminal, then had to walk about 20-30 minutes to the other terminal to the baggage claim area to get to immigration. There are a ton of duty free shops here. Look around, some stores are significantly cheaper than others (particularly the liquor stores). When you come to the airport from the city, make sure you go to the terminal where your airline is located, not where the gate is. Again, had to walk maybe 20 minutes from the Copa desk to the gate in the other terminal. Still, the Priority Pass lounges here are nice and my wife enjoyed doing some shopping. Nice airport.

Nice international airport hub, headquarters for Copa Airlines which is traditionally very reliable and smooth. Airport is modern with good food and shopping amenities. You’ll see some of your favorite American brands like Victoria’s Secret and Olive Garden. Always happy to connect thru this Panama City airport.

Very modern and efficiently arranged. People are friendly and helpful. Many dining options but expensive (like movie theater prices). Subway goes right there and is clean, cheap, and safe.

The new terminal is amazing. Lots of shops and restaurants and the copa lounge. But the main food court is still in the old terminal and takes forever to get there by walking from the new terminal. Nice airport for flying Copa Airlines.

Great Airport hub for many international connections. Very friendly staff and safe airport. All the covid protocols in place and well done managed. Lots of stores to shop before you board or to eat while you await to your boarding. Visited the Star Alliance Club so if you are a member you can enjoy it and if not i believe you can buy a day pass. This airport have a chapel as many other airports however this one is an special chapel with a Virgin Mary and Virgin of Loreto. At least 2 Popes have been at this chapel. What a blessing and gem found before the boarding.

At noon, I arrived for my flight to Miami. I checked my bag and proceeded to the security checkpoint. I was shocked to see I was the only person. The personnel were all looking at their phones, waiting for people to enter the area. I had given myself a couple of hours to get to my gate. I checked in, got through security, and was drinking a coffee at the gate in 10 minutes. Can't imagine that ever happening again. All told, a nice airport. But I couldn't find anywhere to buy a magazine. Also, be warned, the gate areas are secured, and you go through security "again" at the gate. You can't bring in any food or beverages. Even though it was purchased after going through the main security, at a shop right next to the gate. Also, if you leave the gate area to use the restroom, you need to go through the gate security again. It was very confusing for everyone who had to throw away food and drink purchased to have on the plane or at the gate.

Now, this airport has 2 terminals and is big. Have this in mind when traveling with connections, because walks take some time.

Departures terminals 1 and 2 are filled with well renowned stores where you can find that last minute gift.

A great hub to the world in the middle of America.

its a very big airport now with Terminal 2. Theres a shuttle bust that takes you to the metro station for free. The airport is very big and super clean. There AC everywhere. Many shops after security.

Nice airport easy to get around. Note that google maps does not appear to know about the train that goes from the airport to corridor sur. Easy transfer from airport. At terminal 1 turn left out the doors walk about 300’ take line 2 from corridor sur to San Miguelito then easy transfer to Line 1 which will take you to PC for .35 cents. You do have to buy a card that is rechargeable for $2 and you can use one card for as many people as you want. The kiosks have English instructions and don’t forget to validate the card in the same kiosk you buy it from. So $3 will get two people from the airport to PC. It does take an hour to go from airport to San Thomas.

The airport and it's facilities made a 19 hour layover quite bearable. The Global lounge was quite an unexpected pleasure and great experience. The restaurants and shopping areas made for a pleasant stay. Keep it up Panama!!!

All I know is that the Tocumen International Airport is located somewhere in Panama, and nothing more.

The airport really doesn't have much to do with the actual price, as it is a hub for all the planes coming in and out.

✈ PRODUCT/SERVICE - 5
There are several shops, and there are several more that I am sure will be coming in the near future in the B Terminal. I loved to see all the construction and am hopeful in the future when we're traveling to Argentina that they'll have all the shops completed.

There is a lot of walking involved in this airport, fortunately there are conveyor walkways.

Most of the employees were barely noticeable as they were going about doing their tasks such as cleaning.

A very nice airport.

It’s the most well connected airport in the Latam region, flights to almost every country.

Copa is an excellent national airline of Panama serving here.

They could do with more / better airport lounges.

But this airport does the job well and quickly for traveling!

In the middle of expansion so there are some growing pains.
Terminal 1 and 2 couldn't be more different.
The lounge upstairs in terminal 2 is new and modern. I think it's the only lounge.
Wasn't much choice of foods, but it was tasty
