Roots Hostel

The hostel is a lovely, rustic building in the mountains with a relaxed atmosphere and a beautiful view of the volcano at sunset. The owner is really super nice and helpful and there are numerous hiking trails nearby, including a coffee farm that can be visited. There are also a few restaurants with home-style cuisine, a few cafés and a bus stop within walking distance. Bring groceries if you want to cook. The hostel is interesting and just real. We felt very safe and in good hands. We will definitely come back and enjoy the fresh mountain air and fresh oranges. Highly recommended for a refreshing visit to the mountains on the way to David or Bocas del Toro!

Staying in this hostel is like staying in a treehouse. Incredible view and nice place to stay. Owner was friendly and there's cards and games to keep you occupied at night. Really cool experience.

Lovely hostel perched on top of a windy hill. Basic rustic accommodation but made from nature and with heart ❤ I felt like sleeping in a tree house.

I chose to stay here over the more commercial Lost and Found hostel and absolutely loved my stay! I was looking for a bit of peace and tranquility after Bocas and this place hit the spot. Nestled on the hillside with awesome views of the mountains + Baru, the staff was super welcoming and friendly and I was given a large room with attached kitchen, bathroom and balcony since I was the only one there. The kitchen is basic but comes with everything you need. There are some little trails around to explore and a supermarket minutes away. It is a great little stopover when traveling to/from Bocas to David, right off the main highway. I was only there one night but they also offer tours and advice about the area. Excellent value for what you get. If you’re looking for a peaceful place to spend a night or three this is the place. Highly recommend 10/10.

Loved it here. Wonderful rustic hostel with private rooms. We stayed for three nights and absolutly enjoyed the authentic atmosphere.

He estado aqui dos veces con mi familia y han sido fenomenales.
El ambiente siempre es super agradable y las vistas al amanecer/atardecer son hermosas.

Es un encuentro con la naturaleza y meditación. Recomendó ir en familia, amigos o en pareja experiencia sana con la armonía que uno busca para olvidarse de la civilización. Cerca de quebradas, vía principal, seguridad, con sus cuartos cómodos con agua caliente y baños. Llevar abrigo por el clima fresco. 100% recomendado!

Das Roots Hostel hat mir auf der bisherigen Reise durch Panama am besten gefallen. Das bzw die Häuser sind liebevoll eingerichtet und individuell dekoriert. (Nebenbei erwähnt findet man tolle Ideen zum Thema upcycling). Auf mehreren Etagen verteilen sich die Zimmer, mehrere Terrassen und die Gemeinschaftsräume. Das Zimmer war einfach aber funktionell eingerichtet und es gab einen eigenen Balkon mit Blick auf den Wald und das Tal bei Sonnenuntergang. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet und für ein Hostel waren alle Gemeinschaftsräume überdurchschnittlich sauber. Die Gastgeberin ist eine sehr herzliche, freundliche Dame und mit der Buchung war alles in Ordnung. Ich kann dieses Hostel gerne weiterempfehlen!

Es sencillo, rústicos hasta en sus camas, sus baños son adentro del dormitorio con 5 camarotes, otro en el área balcón, y otro en la planta baja para 2 piezas. No hay lujos pero está limpio, WIFI, y acceso cerca a la carretera principal
Hay una cocina sencilla y refrigeradora. Es un lugar para descansar y seguir el viaje, tanto hacia Bocas del toro o a la inversa. Precios cómodos.

Es un lugar sencillo, pero ubicado en el área de Hornito, Reserva de Fortuna. Para las personas que quieren naturaleza y el viajero que le gusta conocer algo natural esto es lo que es el Roots. Hay carretera cerca, cascadas naturales, senderos, un balcón amplio con vista al Volcán Baru. El clima es fresco, y si te gusta la tranquilidad aquí hay. Igual puedes cocinar y también hay un lugar donde puedes ir y ver un tour sobre el café
Vale la pena conocer Hornito.

Una joya Natural al buen cuidado de seres humanos Excepcionales. Cuidado exquisito,trato amable y cordial..una delicia para aquellos que amamos la naturaleza en todas sus formas. No recomendado para " Cómodos y urbanitas ".. Es para sentirlo y disfrutarlo .Inolvidable.

Excelente lugar para disfrutar de la naturaleza y la tranquilidad. Un clima fresco. Se puede realizar diferentes caminatas por senderos cercanos. Noches estrelladas y vista al volcán Baru y la reserva la fortuna.

Un sitio especial para pasar la noche, clima delicioso, la atención personalizada es excelente, si no tienes alimentos, puedes coordinar para que los preparen en la fonda que está cerca, la vista del amanecer y del Volcán Barú no se compara con nada antes visto, se los recomiendo.

Esta muy bueno, es justo lo que dice don habitaciones rusticas con unas vistas increibles👌🏻

Recomendado para poder disfrutar con tu pareja o tus familiares, con un clima acogedor, cerca de las aguas termales, senderos con bellas vistas y quebradas a un buen precio
