Back in the 70's, 80's, and early 90's, I used to be a guest at Hotel Contadora at least twice a year. It was an elegant island resort with many fun activities, including a discotheque and a casino. Proper attire was required for dinner, casino, and disco. Plus, the food and service were impeccable.

I stayed in this hotel twice in the 90s. It was great and fun. Such a pity it didn’t make until the tourism in Panama started to grow and wonder why it never reopened.

Back in the day this is one nice hotel. it's sad that it's falling apart and closed / it definitely was a 5-star rating back then. The island is still great to see.

It might be best hotel back in time, now it feels like abandon building. Still it has best white sand beach to offer.

I was here more than 25 year’s ago, and came based on a recommendation from a traveller we met on another vacation. At that time it was mostly private homes on the island but convenient you walked off the plane and to the hotel. It would be nice to return one day though unfortunate this lovely hotel didn’t survive.
