What a wonderful place to stay! I would recommend to anyone, I was so looked after by Shila and her lovely family. Panauti is a beautiful place to explore and staying at the community homestay was the best way to experience its charm.

Really beautiful experience, you feel like part of the family, room was clean, hot shower, nice view, food was perfect - everything fresh, we prepared momos together, tried sari, henna.. hey told me a lot about newari culture and nepal in general. I stayed for two nights and one day I was adviced to visit Namobuddha what was also great experience

One of the most inspiring and incredible experience in my life. Everyone in their life should meet The Panauti community homestay.
They host you as their family and give you so much, more than I excepted.
I only stayed 2nights, but these only 2nights were very intense and meaningful.
First because all the women of this community are so courageous. Some of them have experienced bad and sad things in their life but they find the courage to fight and live happily thanks to the community.
Secondly the men, husbands or not, support them so much and believe that their community brings a lot to the entire village. They work hard to develop this village in order to have more independence and to share with the tourists they host, all the love they can share.

We stayed with Binu and her family on a G Adventure tour and the community homestay program. It was a truly magical way to see the area, learn about the Hindu and Buddhist religion and meet some of the different ethnic groups in the area. From hiking to learning about the food (with lessons), festivals, community feast and lots of dancing and laughs, it was a terrific experience. With Ashok as our guide, he helped take it to a whole other level. While all of this is amazing, it also feels good to participate in a program that helps elevate the status of the woman in the community. This truly is a win for everyone.

Our room was basic, clean and comfortable. Excellent hot shower and a Western toilet. The food was delicious and plentiful. The mattress is very firm in the style of beds there.

Our stay also gave us the opportunity to visit with other homestay places and the hospitality we had from Rajani and Ram was terrific. The laughs we had together will always be in my heart. Ram took us on a walk one day and was very informative of the area.

Amazing place to stay while in Panauti! Shila and her family are amazing hosts and made my stay very memorable.

Panauti Homestay is a unique experience in Nepal. I have been here twice already! This is not a bed and breakfast only but you become part of a family during your stay. They show you around in the city, you go out together, cook together and many things more. I finally learned how to make Roti :-)! You will learn all about Nepalese living and families and feel very home and welcomed. Please try yourself!
