we visited Hetauda hospital pharmacy and following results and findings:
• In hospital medicines are comes through two process.
1) Directly purchased
2) Governmental supply
• They purchase drugs through the tendering process which are in health insurance system.
• Government supply drugs directly through the pull and push system which includes various essential drugs that should be freely available in hospital.
• All the medicines are stored in the main store in the alphabetical storage techniques.
• Some drugs were stored in the refrigerator like vaccines.
• They were storing narcotic drugs are in locker.
• They provide the medicine to pharmacy of the hospital, emergency, wards and other store in hospital by completing paper works like requisition form and transfer forms.
• They follow the FEFO (first expiry first out) system for dispensing drugs which reduces the expiry of drugs.
• Maximum number of drugs are consumed by the patients.(900-1000 people served daily)
• In hospital dispensing pharmacy they were storing drugs in disease base. Eg Drugs which are used in dibetes are kept separately, and the drugs used in kidney disease are kept separately.
• But in case of expiry of drugs they were destroying drugs by the process of incineration and deep burial after maintaing all the paper works.

One of biggest government hospital of makawanpur district with all good technology and facilities.
