Amazing place and very cordial family — they will tell you a lot about Bonpo if you’re interesting. Lupra itself is home to 6 or 7 bonpo temples — some of them are family ones, some are simply abandoned and have that Indiana Jones feeling. Anyway, from ethnographical point of view, this village is one of the most interesting on Annapurna way.

Ik was hier een tweetal weken geleden en dit voor de vierde keer. De mensen zijn hier ongelooflijk vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het eten is er lokaal en heel lekker. Het logies is zoals overal in het hooggebergte, spartiaans, maar je brengt er de meest rustige nachten van je leven door. Sta even op rond 2 tot 4 uur 's nachts en geniet van een magische sterrenhemel. Wandel tot aan de meditatiegrotten of tot de gumpa en het schooltje en beleef onvergetelijke momenten.
