Shanta Ghar : A Rustic Guesthouse

If you look for an authentic rural experience, look no further. In the midsts of rice paddies you can find this beautiful farm with the most likable family. Mom cooks the best food we had in Nepal and Dad and sons are great jungle and farmland guides.

We spotted many Rhinos in Chitwan and had wunderfull days on the farm and around.

Highly recommend if you seek a more adventourous and authentic experience.

This place is like home for anybody who have the chance to come. Ramadan y’a and his family are the sweetest. The location is perfect to forget about the world and enjoy the silence. The food was amazing and the family was always there for us if we need anything. Thank you so much for everything !!

My partner and I had an unforgettable 3 nights, we were treated like part of the family. If you are looking for a traditional experience but with a little uniqueness I’d 100% recommend. We had a very warmfull welcome in this place with a beautiful traditional house.
We enjoyed our jungle safari walk with some great waterfalls and lunch camp inside the jungle.
The food is homemade and delicious. We highly recommand this resort if you want to live the authentic Nepal !

Absolutely amazing place. Eat as much a as you like. Hot/long shower, free tea and water. Best of all "amazing hosts". For nature lovers/travelers this is the place to go. Thank you so much for everything I'm already planning to come back with my friends next time I visit Nepal. The jungle walk we did was by far the most special/exciting jungle walk I've ever done.🙏

What an incredible experience it was to be part of this wonderful family! I choose to share a little their local way of life and daily habits. But this is also the best place I've been to empty your mind and get a deep relaxation time. Deepa's food is the best you'll ever taste, Dinesh always ready, almost, to play some outdoor games and you can enjoy good talking with Ramakanta and Lure around the night fire in the front yard. The room is very cosy and got everything you need, hot water for shower included, they provide daily food and needs as well. So much to say but most important is try it then you'll see. I promess a strong immersion within the Nepali life style if it's what you are looking for. Thanks to the family, take a good care and see you.

Easy the best week I had in Nepal. This is the place to experience real local life and some peace and quiet. On top of all this family is the most warm and welcoming family I've ever met. Within a day I felt part of the family. Yes, the way there isn't short (2 hours), but this is true about every remote and quite place. If you love nature, this is definitely, 100%, the place for u. There is tons of jungle and hills all around. And if you feel like it, they offer Jeep Safari to the national park, much better than what you can find in Sauraha or jungle walk ( or even campsite night) in to deep ( really deep!) Jungle! Amazing experience!
The food is amazing, you won't ever, ever be hungry. Rooms have western bathroom, good shower and hot shower all day around. WiFi and what not. I would definitely come again!

J'ai séjourné quelques jours ici, nous avons passé un bon moment avec la famille. C'était une vraie aventure, si tu aimes le confort et le contrôle des évènements, ne vas pas. Si tu es dans l'ouverture du moment et la simplicité tu passeras un bon moment. Merci encore!

Ich empfehle das Shanta Ghar Resort zu 100% weiter! Wer nach etwas Ruhe sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Das Guesthouse befindet sich in mitten der Natur neben einem kleinen See. Die Besitzer haben Ziegen, Wasserbüffel und einen Hund. Neben den gemütlichen, sehr sauberen Zimmern gibt es eine Art Dachterasse, auf der meist zusammen gegessen wird und schöne Sitzgelegenheiten im Garten. Ramakanta und seine Familie sind unglaublich lieb und geben alles, um den Aufenthalt perfekt zu gestalten. Tipika, seine Tochter ist sehr aufmerksam und liest einem jeden Wunsch von den Lippen ab, ein tolles Mädchen! Selbst nachdem wir abgereist waren und bezahlt hatten, beauftragte Ramakanta einen Freund der uns in Bharatpur empfing, um uns zu unserem Bus nach Kathmandu zu begleiten. Das Essen war mit Abstand das Beste, was wir in Nepal hatten. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen! :)

Lugar maravilloso donde desconectar y disfrutar de la naturaleza.. . La familia que lleva el negocio es encantadora, amable y resolutiva.
No dejas de estar en mitad de la selva por lo que los medios son limitados.
