If you're looking for a hidden gem of a vinyl shop not too far from Eindhoven's city center, you should definitely check out Ray Elpee.

As the parent of a son with an old soul who loves listening to vintage music with outdated devices like CD players, cassette players, and Walkmans, I've been on the hunt for secondhand stores and music shops to indulge his hobby. He says he enjoys the feeling of physical analog, which is far more enjoyable than modern devices we have today. And Ray Elpee is one of the music shops we've visited, and it's become one of my son's favorites. Although he can only choose between cassettes and CDs as he doesn't listen to vinyl, his search is never disappointing, and he always has a sparkle in his eye every time we visit the store and find a random collection of old school artist cassettes.

Oh, and the shop owner - trust me, he has a fantastic sense of music! Every time we visit, he plays his personal choice of music in the store. My tip is ... don't hesitate to ask him for recommendations on some cool songs to listen to. It seems he has a lot of knowledge about music and musicians around the world. Just mention your preferred genre, and I'm sure he won't only be able to suggest some awesome artists and songs, but he might also have those collections in store.

As for the prices, I believe that the existence of rare shops like this one should be appreciated. It's not easy to collect vintage albums that are hard to find, so if you think the prices may be a bit higher than expected, think again, because the unique and exceptional experience is well worth the cost.

Very nice record shop, mostly second hand vinyl and cd's. Had two great hours there during my trip to Eindhoven. Will definitely come back next time I'll be in town.

A hidden gem, just outside the center of Eindhoven. Grab a beer at the Stadsbrouwerij and you walk here. Small but charming with lot of vinyl and cds. Mostly second hand and indy, but a good selection of jazz too.

Supercollectie Ray is OK!

Een walhalla voor vinylliefhebbers. Alle genres ruim assortiment goede kwaliteit betaalbaar en ook goed bereikbaar. Het is een kleine winkel waar maar een paar mensen tegelijk naar binnen kunnen, maar je zou er zomaar een hele dag kunnen kijken. Ook cd's en singles en dvd. Heeft ook een site.

Vind je iTunes en Spotify maar niks? Wil je terug in de tijd, naar een winkel waar er nog platen zijn van formaat? Deze winkel biedt een ruim assortiment aan LP's en CD's, de spot voor een echte digger. (Inclusief record dude)

Vriendelijke man en een gezellige sfeer. Verder is er keuze uit veel verschillende muziekgenres.

Eel tof winkeltje. Ze hebben er zo veel pareltjes. Ik ga er zeker nog meer komen.

Zeer vriendelijke man met een vrij grote keuze aan lps, cds en meer. Hij heeft goede prijzen en is altijd even aardig. Zeker een aanrader!
