Van der Meer / The Cultuurcafé

This was our second time at this gorgeous bookshop. The interior design is amazing, with lots of dark wood, small alcoves and fascinating decoration. You can order coffee/tea and biscuits/cakes and eat them anywhere in the shop while already plunging into your next book.

It has lots of different book sections and caters for any taste in books. In the middle you have a section with both recommendations from staff as well as currently listed fiction and nonfiction books. There's also a big section for English books and other non-Dutch books (e.g. German). Plus you can get some gorgeous stationary there as well as other beautiful things.

I just love this place. Big variety of books and these cozy snuggle up corners where you can sit with a latte. On Saturdays there might be music or an autor who presents his or her book.
Latte decaf is tasteful. I regret that closure is so early during week and weekend. Also no evening open. What about us working people?

Just a beautiful shop. Incredibly friendly staff, really nice coffee and tea and the cakes are brilliant. The interior of the store is stunning and the selection of goods, books and other items is just brilliant. A must visit if you're in the area.

Might seem a bit busy, chaotic, and overwhelming at first, but there is a method to the madness. Good curation and one of the most browsable bookstores around.

Hands down, the BEST book shop I have EVER been to—charming and whimsical interior with a cozy café nestled inside and even a stage for musical performances. I felt like a kid again sitting in the cushy children’s section which at the time resembled a pirate ship? Flying car? Can’t recall, but if I ever come back to Noordwijk, I’ll be sure to come back to this place! Oh, and great selection of titles, if only I could read Dutch!

Absolutely love love love this bookstore and its ambiance. Great variety of books and so many "special" books you don't normally see in other book stores. Great place to have a coffee and a piece of cake between the books.

what an excellent place to have come across by chance. Fantastic afternoon coffee and relax. The staff were very friendly and the locals just couldn't do enough to help. Wish we had a local Library and social place like this.

Superleuke boekenwinkel en culturele plek ineen. Heerlijke koffie met lekkers op ☕🍰. Daarna rondgelopen, lekker snuffelen in alle hoekjes, op zoek naar mooie boeken 📚

Rustgevende, huiselijke sfeer en behulpzame bediening. De aardige man heeft zelfs de ijskoffie suikervrij voor mij gemaakt.

Unfassbar schönes Café und liebevoll ausgesuchte Buchhandlung. mit verstecken super gemütlichen Sitzecken zum schmökern und genießen und sogar einem Spielschiff für Kinder. Kuchen und Kaffee sind fantastisch!!! Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und vor allem unfassbar kinderfreundlich. Ich würde sechs Sterne vergeben, hier stimmt einfach alles!

Hele gezellige winkel met meerdere zithoeken waar je ook wat kunt drinken/eten (stukje taart of quiche of soep bvb). Je kunt er lekker rond snuffelen.
