Merry Gold

By far one of the best restaurants I have eaten at in a long while in the Netherlands. Excellent service, beautiful presentation, astonishing dishes and most importantly, everything was absolutely delicious. Can't wait to be back!

Delicious hotpot! First hotpot place that I've seen up in the North! Had a great time with my friends. We all loved the food and the service was also amazing. The food was also the perfect amount for four people.

Also if anyone needs desert recommendations: the matcha tiramisu is the best!

Next time we will try the sushi Tuesday! :)

Lovely to see this more elevated Asian restaurant in the Netherlands, instead of the usual takeaway style that's 'quick and easy'.

I enjoyed the taster menu, with a great selection of dishes to try. It was a balanced and exciting selection. And the service was pleasant.

And thank god we have moved on from the red lanterns you see in many Asian restaurants, the interior is refreshingly 2023, rather than a film set.

Well done.

Amazing place to have a long diner with friends. Take a while and enjoy huge portions with distinctive flavour and crispy duck or anything else, everything looks amazing.

As an Italian, every time I travel abroad I'm concerned about the food standard of the restaurants I try. I have to admit I've been impressed with Merry Gold. First of all, you can clearly see how the place has been recently renovated: it's modern and cozy at once, with beautiful furniture and pleasant background music. I came here cause some locals told me I could find some decent Chinese food, but I was happy to find sushi too (delicious by the way). Last, but not least, the service was really good and professional, with all the courses arriving at the right moment and the waiters being kind and helpful. I'm definitely coming back next time I'm in the neighborhood

We eat here 2 days in a row, I can honestly say was the best Chinese food iv ever head and the service was amazing the girls working were so helpful translating the menu as we are Scottish super supper food xx

It was perfect!

We wonen net in deze omgeving en hebben hier hele goede Chinees opgehaald. Bij het halen viel ons op dat het restaurant prachtig verbouwd is (mijn vriend kwam hier 15 jaar geleden) en vonden het er zo leuk uit zien dat we gereserveerd hebben om ook de rest van de kaart te testen. Heerlijke sushi en hapjes gegeten. De meiden in de bediening zijn erg lief, de dochter en schoondochter van de eigenaresse (of misschien runnen zij het nu zelf?) erg vriendelijk. We raden het zeker aan hier te gaan eten of om af te halen! En wij komen snel weer 🥰

Mooi restaurant, vriendelijke en vlotte bediening. En allerbelangrijkst: heerlijk eten. We laten al vaak lekkere sushi thuis bezorgen, maar bezoek zeker eens het restaurant. De gyoza is de lekkerste die ik ooit gehad heb. Tot snel!

We hebben heerlijk gegeten bij Merry Gold in Roden. Erg leuk om een menu te kiezen waarbij je zowel sushi maar ook de authentieke Chinese gerechten kunt kiezen. Allemaal echt van topkwaliteit en het restaurant ziet er prachtig en modern uit. De dame blanche als desert maakt het helemaal af. De bediening is supervriendelijk. Dikke aanrader!

Heerlijk gegeten in dit prachtige restaurant! Als kind kwam ik hier al, maar na al die jaren herkende ik de zaak niet weer terug, prachtig! Eten was heerlijk en de bediening is ook ongelofelijk vriendelijk! Een geslaagde avond en een absolute aanrader!

Ik heb hier met mijn familie mijn verjaardag gevierd. Geweldig genoten van het eten! Dit is next level Chinees-Indisch met een vleugje Japan (sushi). Mijn hele gezelschap was laaiend enthousiast over het eten.

De bediening is ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Complimenten!
