Bilderberg Château Holtmühle

Great nice chateau, surrounded by a nice park and very close to the small town of Tegelen. Lovely atmosphere and very professional team. Rooms are fine however not the modernist look. The charm is with the old building, old wooden elements.

Surrounded by what was a moat to keep out the undesirables the location is atmospheric. The rooms are large and well appointed with great facilities. Food in the restaurant is of a high standard. Service is exceptional.

Very nice romantic hotel, perfect atmosphere and staff, cozy rooms, lots of parking, quiet, clean, comfortable beds and pillows.

The hotel is situated in a big pond with many birds that fun to watch. The promenades from the hotel to the river are nice and close to the river you see interesting monasteries and a botanical garden with a friendly cafe an terrace. It is worth a detour.

Time-honoured building in a beautiful surrounding.
Perfect location to explore the area and the nearby touristic landmarks.
Hotel itself is not the newest, but the rooms were clean and still absolutely comfortable and luxurious.
Breakfast offers a wide range of choices.
Parking lots could be more, late arrivals might struggle with finding a free spot.
They also have a pool and spa offers, which I wasn't able to see unfortunately.

I did not get to go there, but the customer service is wonderful, very understanding management. Very helpful. I booked an entire month for a trip. Them my trip ran into a problems, in the meantime i forgot to cancel during the free booking period. I sent them and email to explain the situation. They immediately responded and cancelled my booking. I will definitely make it my sole travel place whenever i am there.

I normally try to avoid simple 1 and 5 stars but I could find little wrong with this fine hotel. Accessibility for the less abled is excellent, personnel is very polite and helpful, we had a top tier room which was clean, well furnished and the kingsize bed had no foot obstruction(for taller people like me), separate toilet from the shower and bath\shower. The view from the room was 100% nature with a pond full with local bird life. The surrounding area is beautiful Dutch farmland and has foot and bike routes. We're definitely returning next year. Well done Bilderberg.

We did a business trip with a 20 people department there during the last two days and it was fantastic. Rooms, service, food and meeting rooms were great. Rooms quiet with comfortable beds and big bathrooms. Dinner with good service and high quality food. All our requests were answered with a friendly attitude within minutes!

Very nice hotel in a uniquely restored castle. The location is unique, the rooms very spacious. What I liked most was the lake with lotus flowers right in front, the breakfast location, and the castle domain where you could walk, cycle and even visit the pottery museum at the entrance. The pool is also pretty nice. I am unsure of the dinner options, as the center of Tegelen is pretty close and you can find more options there. Overall, very nice for business travel as well as holidays. The rooms are a little pricey, but very much worth it.

Stayed here for Sylvester with my wife and daughter. Beautiful location, very friendly staff, good shower, very good beds and duvet. The restaurant is fantastic and I can highly recommend the wine arrangement to go with it. Would suggest the half glass option if you have 5 or more courses. The Sylvester evening was quite formal, black tie, though normally a bit less. The first time I stayed here, we had a room in the castle itself and not in the modern section. The castle rooms have far more atmosphere. The new rooms could do with some renovation, everything is working etc. but feels dated.

Beautiful place. Very clean. The sauna is excellent. The swimming is decent. The breakfast is very tasty.

Very nice, the service was excellent the was nice. The only thing that was not good. We just had one night.

Beautiful hotel located around water. Local stuff was friendly and services on high standard. Everything you expect is here including nice walk in the gardens and view from your room. Room was smaller, but comfy with good bed and clean relaxing bathroom. You will not be disapointed with breakfast but you will not be excited either. Fruit and vegetable should be more apealing and fresh, which it was definitely not. Didnt tried local restaurant. 4,5*

This place is magical. The location is stunning and everything about the hotel actually deserves the monicre chateau.

The rooms here are bigger than in the one in venlo.
The location is beautiful as the hotel has been a 'water castle' back in the days.
The breakfast buffet offers all different kind of food from fruits, over fish, cerials, different kinds of bread and buns as well as warm dishes like scrambled eggs and bacon, mushrooms and sausages.
The 'bad thing' is that the kitchen is only open until 9PM.

Beautiful historical, romantic location with staff that put clearly everything to work to give you a good stay. We were there for only one day but we will definitely return !
