Eetcafé de Rog

Eetcafe de Rog is located in the village of cocksdorp on the island of Texel. The serve traditional extremely tasty (lekker) food at inexpensive prices. We had lunch there today afternoon and ate Broodje Pikante Kip (chicken sandwich), Brooke De Rog (cheese and ham sandwich) and toasty ham and cheese. For desert Dame Blanche and Homemade Brownie with Ice Cream. Everything was delicious and the staff is very friendly and helpful too. After having an excellent experience on lunch we reserved a table for dinner tonight. This review will be updated after dinner tonight 😋. Highly recommended and must try food on the island.

Lovely local pub with tasty dutch grub. Lovely prompt service, staff speak English. Nice variety of food with some specialties and Asian dishes, too. Really enjoyed it twice! Thank you

It was a lovely evening with outstanding service. We were only sorry not to be able to tip with the pin machine... Bring some cash just in case!

Really nice restaurant, with good food and decent pricing. Lovely terrace behind the restaurant with a lovely view. The staff was really friendly attentive and fast.

You will need to make reservations because it's quite busy during the summer holidays.

We had our dinner here with burgers, pasta diablo, tomato soup etc. It was very tasty and the service was good. The ambience is rustic. Prices are fair. We would recommend a stay here and will come back in the future.

My husband and I had a really good time here. Good food, very friendly staff, and food came out quickly. Most importantly they were very conscious about my peanut allergy and confirmed the dishes with me. Must visit!

Very good food, exelent service. I had just arrived in Texel at night and the bus dropped me here for dinner. I was very well received by the staff and had an amazing smoked cow beef (apparently smoked in their backyard), followed by a few winter seasonal Texels beers. Enjoyed every bit of it!

If you visit Texel you really have to sit in this place. Nice view, small but perfect menu where everyone can find something preferable to eat.
We really enjoyed the meat and vegetarian food there and especially the friendly barman that made a very tasty latte(unfortunately we didn't have that again on the other visits because was someone else making the coffee). We blame the situation of Corona and not the staff. Food was heavenly good..

It's a must to go there for lunch or dinner. The staff is animal friendly and the girl that served was really good and fast.
We hope to come back again there next year and enjoy something new from the chef of The Rog.

Cozy traditional place! Very gentle staff, great selection of beers and local/traditional flood. Great place for both a beer after a long day and a great dinner.

Great food! We had the varkenshaas sate, goat cheese salad and pulled jackfruit. It was all very good! Would definitely recommend.

Lovely Café where you can eat a good with family and friends. The price quality is good and the people are very friendly and always at your service.

Top quality take away!!! Highly recommended, especially the Texelse Hamburger and the Pasta Diablo - simply delicious!!
