Super nice personal! The best breakfast ever! Although the building is old but the room is very specious! It as better if it had a fridge but for me it was Ok in winter. If I come to Middelburg again I definitely come back to this hotel! Highly recommended!

This is a lovely inn with excellent accommodations - clean, spacious rooms, friendly and welcoming staff, a delicious, full breakfast, and a charming garden in the rear. Located a bit north of Middelburg’s markt square, it’s still a short walk to all the key historic attractions, shops and restaurants. Highly recommended - a very warm, comfortable, cozy place to stay.

I had a wonderful week at the B & B ‘t Poorthuys! Simon and Peter are awesome, so accommodating and genuinely nice people. They are very personable and easy to talk to, and go the extra mile in making sure you’re comfortable and enjoying your stay. The room was very nice, they cleaned and restocked it daily. I slept well in the bed and enjoyed the breakfast each morning with a variety of breads, cheese, meat, eggs, and fruit. I would recommend staying here to anyone visiting Middelburg or nearby towns, and will definitely stay here in the future if I come back!

Erg mooi plek! We stayed there for 2 nights and the room was very tip top. The owners were very friendly and gave great tips on what to do, where to park our car, etc. The interior deco felt less of a typical b&b and more of a proper hotel. Breakfast is served in the eating area downstairs on fine breakfast trays and the food and setup was just amazing.

Nice hotel ! Very pleasant staff ! Rooms decorated with taste and the old building has its charm! Breakfast was nice and it's a 10 minutes walk to the center.

Our two nights at B&B Poorthuys were an absolute delight. Every detail was first class. Our hosts Simon and Peter were extremely caring and proficient. The house is beautifully decorated. Great experience!

We had a great stay in this b&b. It is almost in the middle of the city. Real historic look and feel. Service was superb.

We had an outstanding one night stay at 't Poorthuys. Very friendly staff, very clean, comfortable and cool (outside air was 30°) room. We slept very well in our kingsize bed. The table served breakfast, including the local speciality "Zeeuwse bolus", was abundant and kickstarted our Saturday morning right in the middle of the ancient city center.

Most perfect B oj&B ever. Very nice owners who work from their heart. You feel very wellcome. The place is very clean and well designed. Also the breakfast is very good and very delicious. If you visit Zeeland/Middelburg this is the place to visit.

Prima B&B!!

Sehr stilvolle Unterkunft in historischem Gebäude. Die steile Treppe zum tollen Zimmer unterm Dach ist ein Erlebnis für sich. Bequemes breites Bett und neues Bad in Top-Zustand. Sehr nettes und hilfreiches Personal , welches auch super deutsch spricht. Fahrräder waren einfach und sicher im Keller unterzubringen. (Wir waren 4 Tage in der Umgebung unterwegs ohne Auto - nur auf toll ausgebautem Radwege-Netz). Gratis Autoparkplatz 900m entfernt und einfach zu finden - also erstmal vor der Tür ausladen und Auto wegbringen. Zu Fuß ist man in 10 Minuten überall, dennoch ruhige Lage in gepflegter Umgebung. Frühstück war sehr lecker mit frischem Obst, Ei, 2 Sorten Käse, Wurst,lekkerem Gebäck und Kaffee, Joghurt, Müsli. Alles in stilvoller Weise und schönem Ambiente.
Ich komme gerne wieder.

Ruime, mooie kamers, heerlijk ontbijt en uiterst vriendelijke ontvangst. Op een boogscheut van het centrum. Beter kan het niet!

Wirklich gut gelegenes tolles B&B.
Super nette Gastgeberin und Team.
Hier fühlt man sich glatt Zuhause.
Absolut zu empfehlen.
