I love this place, it's super authentic, always busy in a good cozy way. There are 2 floors you can be for drink or food. They brew their own beer. You can have a look in the basement where the magic happens.

Great food to bite and huge beer selection. Warm atmosphere and friendly staff. I try to have a beer there at least once a week.

Very tasty food and friendly staff. I highly recommend the Vega tapas plate in combination with a beer or port tasting. Portions are perfect for two.

Plenty of beers on tap, as well as bottles from local breweries as well as more established ones. I recommend the food formula of sharing plates, so you can choose to your liking and appetite. If you visit Breda, this is highly recommended!

Great selection of beers (try a tasting of 5 different beers, there are 3 te choose from) and food. Really friendly and helpful staff.

The ambient is calm and fun at the same time. The lights inside give a feeling of warmness. It is good to grab something to drink as well as to have lunch/dinner with family. It has a long bar at the side and a lot of tables in the rest of the space. It even has a second floor and maybe a third.

One of the best places to hang out with friends in a historical building in the heart of Breda

We arrived in Breda, exhausted by our long drive from Sweden. After checking-in at our accommodations we set upon downtown Breda to find someplace to enjoy a fine draught and have a bite to eat. The Boterhal building impresses you by itself, the history of Breda seems ever-present. Inside you are greeted by a hip, homely, and fresh interior, and most welcoming staff! We had the large tapas plates and tried a selection of beers and ales, all were very pleased with both the culinary side as well as the excellent service! Don't miss out on Boterhal if you're in Breda looking for some good food and beverages!

Food is very good. The idea of "tapas for sharing" is well worth trying. Very popular place, sometimes can get a bit too noisy.

Much better food then you might expect from the 'tavern' like looks. Really very good!
