We came here for a surprise birthday meal and had the taster menu, the food was some of the best I have ever tasted.
It was all perfectly cooked and served beautifully, with each dish it was brought to the table and explained exactly what it was, we also had two vegetarians and they had their own version, which was also delicious.
If you are in the area I would highly recommend a meal here, make sure you book first just to be on the safe side.
We will be going back when in the area again.

Very good early dinner at 17hrs on a Saturday with excellent food, drink, atmosphere and service!! We visited the owner's other restaurant in t'dorp the next day which was equally good 👍👍

Beautiful place for a great meal. Nice ambiance. Had a neat nautical theme to their decorations. We started with a delicious cheese soup. Really enjoyed the smoke salmon for lunch. The salmon was on toasted brown bread, with a delicious light white sauce, sprinkled with pea sprouts, chives, radishes, capers, peppers, pickled onions, and edible flowers - all topped off with onion rings. Chicken in peanut sauce was also part of our meal - which was very good. We would definitely recommend this restaurant if visiting Den Helder.

We came one day for dessert and coffee and saw that they had mac'n'cheese bitterballs on the dinner menu and simply had to try them so we came back for a full course dinner a month later and it was highly worth it. Great service, incredibly delicious food, we would definitely visit again, thank you!

Great menu selection with some vegetarian food options. Nice location and lots of drinks choices and friendly English speaking staff. Very nice quirky interior decor with comfy high backed chairs. The sandwiches were delicious! This place was busy at lunchtime which must be a good sign so we're glad we had booked a table. It would be great if they had soy milk or other non-dairy milk for the coffee though.

Very cosy and stylish place with great coffee

Had a nice lunch the other day. Attentive service and good food for decent prices. Enough choice on the menu for most. The atmosphere is relaxed although the decor is not our cup of tea (lots of knickknacks scattered around, not very contemporary), but that is not that important when you just want nice food and nice people waiting your table!
We’ll return when in the neighborhood!

Fantastic little place. Lovely interior which was clean and cosy. The menu was varied and the food which we ordered was fresh and well presented. The service is really attentive here and I'd not hesitate to come back one day.

Absolutely fabulous place, delicious food, friendly service staff and dog friendly. The perfect place to have a quick lunch before departing on the ferry to TEXEL.
