Great vegan cake & macarons for our baby shower! Thank you 😍 It would be even better if they used coconut cream instead of margarine for the cream on the top.

Very nice vibe inside of that cute space thanks to the girls there and the fact you can see when the cakes are prepared very carefully by Viola ! I chose romance cake (vegan) for our relationship anniversary and I have to say the amarena taste is the best I ever tried in a cake ! Thanks for making our anniversary sweet ! ❤

My boyfriend and I went to this pastry shop, it was highly recommended to us by a friend of ours who did an internship there for two months.
Excellent patisserie, in a nice neighborhood, very high quality, good price. The only point not so much in favor is the local inside if you want to stay to eat on the spot. Few tables in a small space. It is worth it.

We had an amazing experience here! Super friendly and helpful staff, we wend during a less crowded time and they spent an hour talking to us about their sweets. Viola is very passionate about making delicious, healthy pastries and it totally shows. We tried both vegan and regular pastries, and they were all lovely. I particularly like that they weren't extremely sweet. I highly recommend this place!

Short summary:  very good service, excellent presentation, amazing taste!

Long story:
I was looking for a patisserie close to Eindhoven. I found Viola's on google, and the reviews were so good that I had to doubt if they were forged. I went there on a summer afternoon, and what I saw was way better than what I did read!

The store has a door that leads you straight to the vitrine, where you can find the most beautiful pastry you can imagine. At a glance, it looks like a bunch of images from pinterest! Everything is clean, tidy, well presented.
It was summer in Holland, and we have quite some flies, bees and wasps everywhere, but the store was insects free!

I went by myself and spent at least 2 hours, enjoying my coffee with one piece after the other until I could not eat anymore. Then I had to buy the rest and take it with me (although I had a hard time sharing with my kids, I have to say).

Why is it so good?
To bake is easy, but to bake good is hard, and to bake perfectly is more than an art.
Viola manages to combine flavors and make sure you can actually taste them, without one flavor overwhelming the other, all living in harmony in a tiny piece of art.

I tried several things, and will go in details for a few of them, the ones that impressed the most.

Vegan chocolate cake:
I am not vegan, and never care for vegan recipes nor pastry.
However, the this cake was on the display, and I just could not resist the temptation.
The whole cake was there, and a few slices as well. It just looks amazing.
It is a 4 layers cake (as in an usual layers cake), and each layer is exactly the same height.
The cake layers are wet enough and yet not soggy. If you plan not to eat the complete cake all at once (ha! try not to), then this is perfect, since the cake will never get dry in the refrigerator.
The chocolate buttercream (no clue how to call a vegan version of buttercream) had nothing to envy to the butter based one: the texture was hard enough to keep the cake in place, and soft enough to melt in your mouth.
And in some spoons you get a callebaut dark chocolate callet (at least that's what I think it is)...yummy!
I could go on and on about this cake, since it is definitely my new favorite chocolate cake (and believe me I have tried tones of them). If you like chocolate, this is a MUST, you will thank me for the advise.

Lemon meringue pie:
Everyone knows what a lemon pie should taste like and look like.
A small tartelette version has the peculiarity that the meringue HAS to touch all sides of the pastry, otherwise the lemon pie itself leaks, and that's not fun when eating. Also because otherwise the meringue starts dancing all around the top surface and well...how wants a dancing meringue?
The presentation was gorgeous: a good soft meringue on the inside and hard enough on the outside, with a bit ot torching to give it the traditional beautiful look.
The taste was explosive! You can taste good lemon, not bitter, not sour, but real lemon. It was sweet enough to balance it, without you needing a liter of water afterwards.
if you like fresh flavors, this is something really for you!

And last but not least: I come from Costa Rica, a coffee country. I am very picky when it comes to coffee, and have set for an ok coffee here in the Netherlands. So, when I get a good coffee, I enjoy it a lot...sadly it does not happen often.
But good news coffee lovers: Viola's coffee I have no clue what type/brand it is, but it is very good. I had an americano (safe option) and did regret not taking the espresso!

And now the very very last: the toddler of Viola was there with Viola's mom. All 3 ladies very sweet (and the lady behind the desk as well), but the little girl was a joy to see and chat to. I will definitely take my kids with me next time.

I got myself chocolate cake today and no wonder it is one of their best sellers. Also if you have dietary restrictions or follow a special diet then definitely check out this bakery. The staff is super friendly and lovely! This place has become my favorite bakery in Eindhoven.

The best pastry shop from Eindhoven! We go there weekly for some keto cakes, the only shop where you find delicious desserts, while not having to worry about the carbs & sugar🧡. Since we moved out of the city, we have to travel a bit to get there, but we make a fun day out of it.
The vegan and regular options are also worth trying.
Since recently you can still have your cake inside & also enjoy some good coffee or tea with it and not eat them like the world is ending in the underground parking car, like we used to do, because we could not wait to get home anymore. 🙈
If you need to order a custom cake, Viola and her team will make sure you get the best cake you ever had!
We recommend you to not trust us completely and actually go there and convince yourself 🥰.

I wanted a girly cake and I got it 💓 so m quite happy with it, plus it tasted good, everyone loved it, I had 3 orders from the place, I must say they all were tasty even special requests, what I like about them the most is, if you request something, they make it happen, I like that attitude, it’s an extra service to me, I will definitely keep going back, also the variety of vegan and diabetic dessert selection is just a plus, because now everyone in our family can enjoy desserts together, I buy seperately without sugar for my father in law, he said it was really good 😊🤗💕 he is a chef himself so approved approved! 👍

Viola’s keto pastries blew my mind. I’ve been eating keto for 7 years and have tried a lot of keto products and baked goods over that time, in many different countries (since being keto I’ve lived in Canada, USA, Ireland, Germany and now here in Haarlem). These beautiful little cakes and pastries are by far the best keto things I’ve had. My husband, who usually hates artificial sweeteners, also enjoyed them and couldn’t believe they were keto. We both particularly loved the cheesecakes — and even my 3 year old son couldn’t get enough (“more-more-more mama’s cake please!”).

I have been ordering birthday cakes since 3,4 years from this amazing lady. And each time the outcome and the taste are extraordinary.
The joy that I had yesterday just seeing my boyfriend cack is overwhelming 😍

Amazing place! Very tasty desserts that are suitable for any diet. But the most important is the service. It is gorgeous. Girls who work there and the owner Viola are so welcoming and helpful. They put so much effort in their job. 100% must try place!

I was looking for something special and “unconventional” for the reception after my PhD defense. I knew Viola, I’ve tasted every single little sweet she has created along these years and I’ve always loved her Dutch-Italian taste, so special here in the Netherlands. I thought I was prepared to watch to a very satisfactory result for the borrel she was going to prepare, but she has surprised me and all my guests even more with an incredible variety of delicious food, from salty to sweet, everything was just P-E-R-F-E-C-T and so tasty. Everyone asked me who is this Viola. Well, she is the kindest, most professional and best pastry chef I’ve ever met here in the Netherlands as an Italian expact.

Hey, last but least, incredibile value-for-money!!!

I ordered cake for my work (apple pie, blubbery cake and lemon cake). In total I ordered amount that should be enough for 30 persons. Everyone loved it and said I should have brought twice as much. Viola makes delicious and homemade cakes. They taste heavenly. It is amazing what she can do. Every cake is a masterpiece. We buy regularly at her place. You have to try them!!!!!

Excellent coffee (Kimbo), nice tea, and the pastry beyond comments. The only problem is how to choose. Somewhat surprisingly, of four things we tried we enjoyed the sugar-free carrot cake the most.

Best vegan cakes in the entire province! I am a regular customer, and no matter which pastry I choose, I am never disappointed. My favourites are the vegan carrot cake, the vegan chocolate cake and the vegan white chocolate mousse.

No words will be enough to express the brilliance on every pieces of sweet and everything else. For the vegans like our self's just heaven. Go the best France patisserie and viola will be just as fantastic for the palette.

Ordered chocolate birthday cake vegan. It's absolutely delicious. Very rich and moist. Also had tried lemon merengue and chocolate eclair. Super yum! What a treat. Highly recommended.
