Honestly this place is amazing. Over the years I have been to many fantastic restaurants over all over the world, but this one will be in my top 5 of all time, heck, even top 3. The veal steak is out of this world, each dish is prepared with such love that it tastes even more wonderful. Presentation and service is 11/10 and I can happily say that the food is equally as good. The staff were friendly and able to communicate in English with us and hosted a lovely evening for us after a long day. A large selection of drinks is available and it is all for a relatively good price compared to other restaurants. This place is a hidden gem in the world of food, we need more places like this in our lives. Thank you to all the staff @RestaurantDeGelagkamer!!

Menu full of intriguing options with mouthwatering descriptions and the chef that does them justice: the food was absolutely delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful. Very cozy ambience inside plus pleasant terrace : perfect for luch and dinner, but also a quick coffee or a glass of craft beer.

Very flavorful food that's even a bit beyond the normal Dutch fare. And very reasonably priced in a comfortable atmosphere.

Despite the lockdown in Holland at the moment a very nice welcome and a good cup of coffee to go with a 'worstenbroodje' (local deli).

Awesome Restaurant

Tijdens de kermis in Oirschot aangeschoven op het terras van De Gelagkamer. Niet te pretentieus of hoogdravend, gewoon een laagdrempelige huiselijke sfeer en voornamelijk klassiek gerechten op de menukaart. Wellicht door deze ogenschijnlijke bescheidenheid bijna overvallen door de fantastische kwaliteit van het eten. De opmaak springt direct in het oog en de smaken waren perfect op niveau. Genoten van een heerlijke steak tartaar, malse ossenhaas met truffeljus en verrassend toetje achteraf. Bijpassend wijntje. Alles geserveerd met zorg en plezier. Wat wil een mens nog meer? Ik zou het iedereen aanraden.

In een woord:geweldig!
Een spannende keuken waarbij je hapje voor hapje verrast wordt.
De amuse was een aangename verrassing, brood was heerlijk, maar vooral het voorgerecht met rauwe zalm was een smaakbeleving. Wat zie ik? Wat proef ik? Gerechten zijn prachtig opgemaakt en smaken ook heerlijk.

De bediening was super, lekker vlot, humor en houden de drankjes goed bij. Je hoeft nooit ongeduldig te wachten

De twee zaken die eigenlijk één zijn en toch weer niet: de eetgelegenheden Tof! en De Gelagkamer aan de mooie historische Markt in Oirschot.
Ik streek neer bij laatstgenoemde uitspanning om me 2 x te buiten te gaan aan mosselen. De eerste keer, 5 dagen terug, waren ze in witte wijn gegaard met drie sausjes erbij. Nu koos ik voor de room/cremesaus met gamba’s er doorheen. Beide keren geserveerd met frietjes en een salade. Mijn voorkeur ging uit naar de eerste versie. Bij de room-editie waren er wel erg veel lege schelpen. En, ik eet mosselen graag met een lege schelp als pak-gereedschap. Dat leverde bij de laatste versie erg veel vette vingers op.
Over de smaak niets dan lof. De bediening is gastvrij en vriendelijk.
