Alexander Hotel

Great experience with a nice location of the hotel. Everything clean and elegant layout of room. Eyes for a detail. Luxury services and friendly, helpful staff. Good choice of breakfast. Possibility to use wellness and gym in another building. Close to the bus station and beach.

I have to tell you at first I didn't believe it was a four-star hotel but once you get into the rooms especially it definitely deserves that rating. Didn't get a chance to try the bar or the restaurant but the rooms are amazing and modern with USB ports which is so important to stay and age. The bathroom and shower are phenomenal.

Great hotel near the sea.

I could not have imagined a more complete Hotel-experience. It took us a lot of time to decide where to go for a weekend, but Alexander-Hotel was one of the best decisions we have taken for a weekend-trip.

Only 2 minutes away from the sea by foot. Have their „dedicated“ beachclub named Alexander Beachbar, same concept as the excellent Dylans restaurant inside the hotel.

We had the most affordable room, which surpassed our expectations.

Great interior design, beautiful bathroom, little terrace with view on partially the beach and partially the nice hotelpanorama.

The rooms are big and bright, very comfortable (medium hard) big beds.

One noticeable detail was a permanent good smell in all of the areas of the hotel.

The staff and reception was kind, competent and helped us when we had questions.

The e-bike for 35€ a day was a great experience, we did 64 km in one afternoon, riding to Keukenhof (18km) then to Zaandvord through the dunes (18km), and finally coming back to Noordvijk (18km).

Do not underestimate this trip, which can be exhausting if you do not ride bike regularly.

The guests of the hotel have access to the spa around the corner, which we didn‘t test but looked great.

Breakfast is totally worth it for 15€ (price as of 2022-Mai), highly recommended.

The Alexander Hotel had incredibly clean (spotless I’d say) facilities. We went the last days before opening HORECA again, but that didn’t mean we had a bad experience.

We had room dining for breakfast and dinner on the two days of our stay. The restaurant Dylan’s offers an amazing fine dining experience, and this food comes in handy especially after a day of cycling the 30 km Bollestreekroute.
We had great service from the staff. I needed more pillows (just a personal preference) and they provided me with 3 pillows 🥰

I also noticed the little details that make this hotel a fantastic stay. Little messaged on the food box for breakfast, everything well thought off, providing not only cold options for breakfast (I’m not Dutch so I don’t like the cold meat and cheese breakfast), they also offered warm options like eggs and bacon with your fresh bread. Fruit, yogurt, and protein bars were included in the breakfast box as well.

The shower is extremely comfortable, to the point that we already started searching for it with my husband so we can buy that same one!
We were able to rent bicycles at the hotel, and there’s only a short 100-meter distance to the beach.

Some things to improve:
-The beds were too firm for us. I wouldn’t call them hard, it’s just I prefer a softer bed. We asked about this issue and we were told that the beds were so new (3 weeks old) that no one had slept on them.

- I would have liked slippers to walk in my room and other toiletries such as earbuds and toothbrush (I forgot both and I felt like "Wow, if I could could have them here, it would’ve been
great")

OVERALL, EXCEPTIONAL PLACE!

The whole place has had a re-fit and it remains a tremendous hotel with an outstanding restaurant (Dylan's). Slightly disappointed at the introduction of €15 a day for parking but I appreciate how seriously hard the last two years have been and the courage shown in making s big investment during the lockdown. We will continue to look forward to our annual visit.

I had breakfast at Alexander Hotel and I can't give a single fault about the food. I would definitely recommend this place if you like a big diversity in food.
