AH Bonnikeplein

Well stocked, clean, tons of options!! But when I visited recently there was a lot of shortages for fresh foods like vegetables and fruit. I was told there’s currently a strike or something for the farmers or the distribution centers…? I think they’re not being paid or treated well, so i guess exercise patience for now? Hope everything works out swiftly! 🙏

Nice AH. I always make sure to visit at least one AH when I am in the Netherlands. Clean supermarket, fresh products. You can find everything of your daily needs there. Nice parking lots very close to the entrance, some with cooling shadows from the trees depending on the time you go there. It is also very easy to find as this AH is next to the main road. It is about 1-2 km from the beach so you can easily come here if you forgot something.

Alwaya hop in On my way from Leiden to Noordwijk beach. Gezellig. Friendly employees. No crowd. Convenient parking area. Enough. :)

Super good and they have good prices.

The lady who dealt with me was amazing. She was incredibly friendly and helpful. My card was blocked by my bank because I was in a foreign country and she helped me use cash to purchase a bus ticket (heads up, you can only use card to buy bus tickets except at train stations). Everything was sorted and she helped me ask a shopper to top up the card and she said that if she had her card she would have been more help. Genuinely lovely. I didn't see the inside of the store much however, it looked clean and had a good layout.

Good selection of products and many self checkouts so there is almost never a waiting time.
