Mazar Afghaans Restaurant Apeldoorn

It was an amazing experience of trying out Afghans food. The restaurant is run by a family that clearly has a passion for doing this. This place is definitely worth a visit if you are looking for tasting something unusual.

We had a delicious authentic Afghan diner at this precious place in the heart of Apeldoorn, run by an enthousiastic and customer focused Afghan ladies family. All dishes freshly made and full of flavors. Highly recommended.

Very tasteful! An explosion of taste in your mouth. The many colors make the dishes look appealing. Will definitely recommend eating here. Also the staff was really nice. Great place for Afghan food.

The restaurant was surprisingly spacious unlike most of the other restaurants in Apeldoorn.
We were greeted in quite a short time , given that we made our reservation and we decided to sit at the patio because we personally prefer much more light while eating our food. There were in total of six tables in the patio and it’s quite cosy. Only one highchair was available for us which is not a big deal because our 3 years old can already sit in the normal chair together with us.
The waitresses are all very accommodating and they speak decent english.
We chose the 3 course meal and it is the best choice if you have never tried any Afghan cuisine before.
For our next visit we will totally go for the kabuli palow again. Yes! We will definitely come again!

The toilets are clean, this is what we needed the most , having a toddler with us.

We ordered Kabuili pilaw and badenjan borani, and it was amazing. Tasted like home food! The quality and quantity of the food is so good for the price. We also got Hammus for starter and it was so creamy tasty! Highly recommended and we definitely go back there when we visit Apledoorn again.

Aromatic (completely not spicy if that worries anyone) food made with family recipes. Female owned and run. Explanations of what’s in the tasting platter would have been helpful so as not to order several already included things as starters. But otherwise friendly, good service. Dog and alcohol friendly.

Great restaurant! Very delicious and tasty food and an excellent service. We were a group of 6 and we've ordered different things from the menu card. Everyone got his food at the same time and everyone was amazed by the taste of the food. The waitresses were really friendly and engaged for the happiness of the customers. I can recommend the Kabuli Plow.

We had a delicious vegan dinner at home. Very tasty and versatile. We enjoyed it a lot, and so grateful they could serve it vegan. Definitely order again when I’m in Apeldoorn again.

Had a wonderful dinner here with my mother. We chose the combination menu to try out different things, and really enjoyed the variety of tastes and dishes. The amount was quite much, we could barely finish the main course, so we were more than satisfied afterwards! The service was super friendly, the ladies were all very kind. The restaurant has a lovely ambience, and is not too big. When we arrived the music was a bit loud, which I am very sensitive too as an autistic person, and they were happy to turn it down for me when asked. These little things really help me enjoy the experience best without getting overstimulated, so I really appreciated the understanding.

The staff was really friendly and the food was delicious. It is a go to place if you pass through Apeldoorn.

In een ontspannen sfeervol restaurant heerlijk gegeten. De proeverij is een aanrader met als dessert Afghaanse baklava. De gerechten zijn heerlijk gekruid en de beleving daardoor is prima. De bediening zeer vriendelijk en beleefd, de kok(moeder des huizes) maakt de gerechten op authentieke wijze.

Blij versast! Heerlijke muziek, zeer vriendelijk en lieve mensen. Ik waande me even op vakantie. Ik heb een voorgerecht gegeten met gehakt in deegkussentjes, verrukkelijk. Als hoofdgerecht rijst met kip in tomatensaus, wederom verrukkelijk. Nu wacht ik op de baklava (de Afgaanse versie). Ook perfect! Een dikke 10 (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐). Voor herhaling vatbaar en ontdek het zelf.

Vooraf contact gehad met het restaurant i.v.m. een allergie. Het restaurant was telefonisch goed bereikbaar en ik kon zelfs vooraf van de kaart een gerecht kiezen en dat werd dan zonder een bepaald ingredient speciaal gemaakt! De bediening was al op de hoogte hiervan en we hebben heerlijk gegeten!

Uitstekend restaurant met heerlijk eten en een goede bediening.
Wij hadden het proeverij 3 gangen menu gekozen welke bestond uit een voorgerecht, tussengerecht en een hoofdgerecht dat uit een proeverij van verschillende gerechten bestond. Werkelijk alle gerechten vonden we zeer smaakvol. En ook de portiegrootte was dik in orde.

Voor het eerst Afghaans gegeten en wow wat was dit geslaagd! Wij zijn voor het keuzemenu gegaan. Daarmee kun je van allerlei gerechten proberen. Lijkt een beetje op tapas. Het eten was heel erg lekker en de bediening was van uitmuntende kwaliteit. Beide eigenaressen komen uit Afghanistan en zijn kenners op het gebied van de Afghaanse keuken. Aanrader!!👌
