Abbot Girls Secondary School

One of the oldest and well equipped secondary schools in Nigeria. Located on top of a hill, the aesthetic landscape surrounding the school gives it a "feel good" effect on the students. The school also have accomodations for both staff and students.

Abbot Girls Secondary School, Ihiala is opened in the year 1967. It's is located along Onitsha Owerri expressway opposite Ihiala Local Government Area Secretariat in Umuarugwu, Uzoakwa Ihiala. It used to be one of the best Schools in Anambra state, though its still a good school but not as before. They have teacher's quarters, corpers quarters, qualified teachers and dedicated ones at that.

First of all during my National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) I was posted to serve here. Abbot Girls’ Sec School, Ihiala is a public junior and senior girls secondary located in Ihiala Local Government Area, Anambra State, Nigeria. The school has 17 classrooms, 12 toilets with an improved sanitation system. This school needs a lot of renovation and general upgrades; but I loved the teachers and the students were well mannered and cultured.
