Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi (FUAM) is known for academic excellence and research. Recently the name of the institution has been changed to Joseph Saawuan Tarka University, Makurdi. They offer so many courses related to Agriculture, Engineering and management sciences courses . Their titution fee is very affordable compare to other Federal Universities.

This is a tertiary institution located on the out sketch of makurdi, it a science and management tertiary institution. Its primarily deals with agricultural related courses. The university is well built with nice learning facilities which makes impacting very easy. The university is made up of different collages which are as follows: college of science, college of veterinary medicine, college of engineering, college of management, college of food science and technology, college of agronomy, college of agricultural economics and extension, college of fishery and aquaculture,college of animal production and last but not the least college of forestry. Its a university of its kind, very strict to its student and the students on the other hand are very hard working and dedicated students who are always willing to graduate with good grades.
