This is the current orientation camp location for Borno state Corps members in Nigeria. It’s a beautiful place.
Geographically, it’s almost a desert. It’s really dry and the wind is hot and harsh.

But the land is fertile, as they’re a lot of farms in the outlaying villages and towns. The orientation camp itself has a medical center, a kitchen, two hostels for girls and two hostels for boys. It cost 3500-5000 naira to get to the camp from Abuja.

The weather is very hot from mid morning to evening, I.e 8:30am -4:00pm, from evening to morning it gets cool and sometimes it can be freezing my cold.

So if you’re going there on a trip, pack for warm weather, but also pack sweaters , socks and gloves. You should also pack a water bottle because you’ll get dehydrated fast. Preferably a thermos water bottle so your water can keep cool for long.

Overall , kastina state is beautiful and it’s streets are clean and well kept. Most of The roads are in excellent condition and the locals are friendly and are willing to help. They might tease you a little if you don’t speak or understand Hausa .
