A Primary health care center, usually a first point of contact for a sick person in a community,it is when they can't handle the case that it will be referred to a secondary level of care, that is a general hospital and if general hospital can't cannot handle the case then a referral to a tertiary health institution becomes imperative.

This Primary Health Center also attends to gynecology and obstetrics so you'll see moms and their babies, family planning and cervical canvas screening are done here too.

Don't forget to register online for the vaccine before showing up at the physical location.

I used the PHC for some of my daughter's immunizations.

Overall it wasn't a bad experience, of course being a public facility you go prepared to meet all. Averagely clean but what was unrivalled for me was the health officials who give out free diet tips for babies.

Simple but very nourishing menus that you wouldn't normally think of.

That alone makes it worth while.

I took treatment here a while ago, and the first thing I must say is that the wait time and the queues are quite long. Patients could wait for hours except in clear cases of emergencies. The health centre is understaffed for the number of patients coming there daily. The attitude of the nurses could be better. The administrative staff are okay, and the doctors are decent in the way they treat and address patients.

Rude nurses, very limited doctors available, and sometimes vaccine collection is a problem because the nurses are few and the patients are more.
