CMS is an acronym that means Christian Missionary Society (CMS) located in Lagos Island. Lagos Island is the principal and central local government area in Lagos, Lagos state. It is part of the Lagos Division. As of the preliminary 2006 Nigerian census, the LGA had a population of 209,437 in an area of 8.7kmĀ².

cms has lots of business opportunities, especially in the market areas closer to Balogun and Idumota. Over a 100,000 visit the markets daily. You can also visit to shop for various items from textiles, to clothing, to household items.

cms can be visited at all times during week days between 8 am and 8 pm. The market is however not opened on Thursday till 10 am for environmental sanitation.

You can get to cms Lagos Island from Lagos Mainland and Yaba via the Third Mainland Bridge or Carter Bridge. Buses, motorbikes and tricycles are available for movement from one place to another on Lagos Island. Parking spaces are few and limited to driving with y our car may not be advised. Parking spaces cost between N200 and N500 in different places.

cms is located close to houses of numerous financial institutions, The vibrant market is always full to the brim. Experience the vibrancy and enterprising nature of the people of Lagos at the market.
The traders in the market are a mix of people from all over the country. As you drive to the cms over the bridges, you will have a view of the Lagoon and possibly find some fishermen fishing. Look out for the old exquisite architectural designs on Lagos Island, which was influenced by the years of British rule. Visit the elegant Cathedral at CMS on Lagos Island. The scenery is beautiful and easy to miss for the regular Lagos commuter rushing to work. I would recommend taking out some time to observe and admire this location

When we talk about Lagos, CMS has to be one of the top 3 places to talk about and visit, else, you havent been to Lagos at all.
It's a usually busy area, even at midnight, it's never boring here, the sight of tall buildings and wonderful architecture adds to the beauty of this nice place, you can never get tired of walking around.

This is a major landmark in Lagos and its popularly know as a place from where passengers can easily connect with both Mainland and Island parts of the city. Several head offices of some publicly quoted companies are located around this bus station and thus adding to both heavy vehicular and human traffics.

I travel through this route almost every week. Crowd, Blue BRT buses, Danfo...everyone is on the move. The breeze from the lagoon, slow moving ships, stranded boats...make my mood melancholy.

Frequent stop here for some weeks now. Ongoing development on the expressway and another long bridge being constructed that passes across which will in every way give this bustop a new look by the end of the year or up next year. Both BRT buses and normal transit buses drops and picks up passengers here.
