Bus stops in Lagos state are usually dual (that is, opposite sides or both sides of the road featuring same landmark for to/fro transit). But with lots of makeovers and road refurbishing, this opposite siting is sometimes lost. In some cases, the dual location exist but are not directly opposite. In other cases, the bus stops are just one-sided (like you can see in Lateef Jakande Road and Obafemi Awolowo Way in Ikeja).

This newly constructed bus stop is the opposite side of ShopRite bus stop. On its side (moving from the Secretariat end of Awolowo to the Allen end), this bus stop is named Elephant. But in reality, it's ShopRite. Don't get it confused if it is used as a landmark direction for your navigation.
