Gt Foods

Gt Foods is a popular eatery and supermarket where you can get all kinds of things, ranging from foods, snacks, biscuits, yoghurt, drinks and so many more. There are various fruits available, the popular dried meat (kilishi) is sold at Gt Foods. You can get cooked food and you can as well demand for a fresh made food like noodles (mai Shai). You can as well purchase all forms of stationaries.
This place is very popular to most travelers coming all the way from Lagos, Osun, Ondo, down to Abuja or ahead of Abuja. It is often common for a bus coming all the way from Lagos to have a stop over at Gt Foods, for passengers' relaxation and to cool off the stress of the journey.
Gt Foods has a big, clean environment with nice ambiance. There is enough place for people to park and stroll. There is a public toilet with running water. Opposite Gt Foods is a town with Hills behind it. You would see the hill in the picture attached.

Their food is nice. I have eaten there for about 3 times.

But it's a bit expensive and I don't like the fact that you have to pay before you ease yourself.

My visit to get food is very very good, I enjoyed myself, their food is very very delicious, yummy 😋

I believe its a nice place and Great place for travelers to stop and eat
its very popular with travelers and people of all work of life.
A good place along Abuja-Lokoja road to take a quick stop and eat before continuing on the journey. Delicious meals, but below standard toilets.
It's in a safe location, a beautiful and comfortable setting to eat and relax. The food and snacks are also very tasty 😋☺.

You can easily find anything you want there such as foods and any delicacies, and More so they have rest room for both male and female.
Usually crowded with long wait times for service during peak hours. Snacks are just so and so. Nothing wonderful. Food is manageable at best.

Lokoja, a City enclosed in between a couple of northern and southern Nigerian states, also the capital of Kogi State. Apart from its interesting local tribes: Bassa Nge, Igala and the Ebira, it is very famous for being the confluence point of the Niger and Benue Rivers. The City has a Tropical Savannah Climate with an annual average temperature of 34 degrees centigrade. The total estimated population of the City is around 3.2 million inhabitants with a majority of this populace spread across the State’s dominant ethnic groups which include the Bassa Nge, the Yoruba, Igala and the Ebira.

The city has a number of Markets which include the Kogi International Market, New Market and the Kpata Market where Residents and Visitors to the City can purchase a variety of commodities. Variety of homegrown dishes include the Oje oskapa and Obo ewga a local name for rice and beans soup served with goat meat and catfish, cassava meal served with ukhoyo soup, and the Afiame Soup.

There are a number of special events and festivals which attract audiences from different places and climes to the city. A couple of these festivals include;

The Donkwo (Also referred to as Danko) Fishing Festival, an annual fishing festival held along the River NigerAgbo Masquerade festival celebrated annually by the Oworo peopleOro/Egungun festival celebrated by the Okun people.

Kogi State offers a favourable year-round weather plus an all season favourable business and social climate and hence there isn’t really the best time to travel to the City but prospective travellers to Lokoja would be best served to make their journeys during any of the City’s numerous festivities.

Gt Foods has a lot of delicacies. Their services are good but sometimes the chicken can be questionable though be rest assured they will make changes and attend to your complaints.

They also have a lodge/accommodation/hotel beside it and I enjoyed my stay there while at Ekpoma for a brief work.

Ekpoma is a student populated area located in Edo state, Nigeria.

Means of communication are English or Pidgin.

The food is delicious, it's not too spicy and it's not too expensive, you can dine here, or buy the food as take it away, I'm not sure if they offer outdoor or delivery services... But more needed to be done on the way they serve their customers.

This is a restaurant, fruits and vegetables, smoke fishes, a mosque 🕌 to pray and resting place for travellers going to and from Abuja.

The ambiance is lovely, the presentation is too notch

Oh yes. I was comfortable with the takeaway food I bought at Lokoja. I am in Abuja now. My stomach tank got just what was needed!

Beautiful Place to Unwind while on transit

This place is a popular stopover for buses travelling. They have good food but a little pricey though. There are really clean bathrooms there, properly maintained for a really small fee.

I just don't know any other place that'll deliver like this

A place to relax and ease your journey with a good food and stretch your leg.

It's the shopping hub for most buses going to the north

Expensive foods, the turkey was 2k and had to pay to use the restroom.
