Compared to other NYSC permanent camps in Nigeria, especially where I camped, I can excellently say Iseyin NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp is way too far. The clean environment, especially from the main gate, the buildings, the hostels, even the podium, and a number of other notable places on the camp ground. I'll commend the state for the awesome job but to never relent and be ever ready to keep up the good work.

I had an amazing experience at the camp. The food was ok, especially Sunday Jellof rice and chicken😁. Soldiers and officials were not so mean. Our father, our ladder also made it worthwhile.

I enjoyed my experience in Iseyin camp.
The treatment was fair, cool, convenient and the weather was fine.
My hostel experience was also comfortable

The clinic is standard and the medical team was very professional and respectful

It's a wonderful place, it has lots of space. It has a beautiful scenery too because it's surrounded by beautiful little mountains. It's also easy to Locate although it's far from Ibadan. Don't forget to pack a face mask and cough syrup while going there though, because the dust is too much

It's an orientation camp for corps members. It's a very nice place to camp, but please come with enough beverages, money and other necessary items you'd be needing if you don't want to buy them times two of the original prices. Please, also bring along your sanitary items. Thanks.

My platoon commander has been the best. How he treats platoon 8 corp members is really exceptional but discipline is not forfeited 😊😊

Orientation Camp is one of the four cardinals of NYSC (National Youth Service Corp) having PPA, CDS and POP as other cardinals.
The NYSC scheme was established in the year 1973, May 22 under Decree 20 of General Yakubu Gowan's administration. This scheme was created in order to foster unity and cohesion.
The NYSC orientation camp has been the most interesting part of the scheme program, it is a 21 days camping, virtually all graduates want to experience how it looks like and want to have beautiful pictures in Khaki (NYSC uniform). The orientation camp is always in batches whereby graduates will be eligible for any batches after his/her institution has released the graduating list to NYSC. I graduated in August and my school released the graduating list in September which made most students from my school and set to be able to participate in the year Batch C stream 1 and 2 orientation camp.
Camping Experience;
PCM (Prospective corp members) would be deployed to different states outside their State of origin and state of institution. Definitely what you should be expecting at the orientation camp is meeting people from different horizons of the country. On getting to camp gate, you would be asked to wash your hands and use sanitizer (era of COVID-19), bags would be searched by the appropriate officials to avoid bringing illicit stuff. You will then have a brief orientation on how to go about your registration as a PCM. You will have your COVID-19 test to prove you are not positive while the positive would be isolated to prevent the spread of the virus. PCM would then be directed to the ICT center to verify their informations and to submit documents for verification. Hostel would be allocated to each PCM and Khaki (uniform) plus other reading materials which comprises of NYSC GUIDE, NYSC BYE LAWS, MEAL TICKET.... etc
After all these processes, PCM would start putting on the official White and white shirt and short to activities starting in this order ( morning devotion - morning meditation - morning parade - SAED lectures/ Parade after morning meal - Afternoon Parade after afternoon meal - hosting of flags by 6pm - Social night after the night meal and then light out). Most of the camping activities go like this though there are more activities I am yet to mention. NYSC orientation camp is highly regimented whereby we have Military personnels to maintain discipline and to make sure all activities go as it is planned.
Swearing in ceremony; after the swearing in ceremony, PCM ( Prospective corp members) would would now be refered to as CM (Corp Members) once the oath of allegiance has been taking.

Fast forward to the last day in Camp, Corp Members will have their Passing Out Parade and they would be giving letter of PPA (Place of Primary Assignment), this could be an organization, firm or educational sector where Corp members would continue their service for a period of one year. Buses would be available to convey corp members to their different Local Government of primary assignment..

The food is good.

The hostels are clean.

The weathers are extreme

And the items sold at the mammy market are affordable.

The camp officials are friendly and caring.

Also, MTN is like the best network provider on camp, seconded by Airtel, then Glo.
Etisalat is the worst as it stops working as soon as you are inside the camp.

Spacious. Neat. More like a community and it has a great view of the Iseyin town. Constant power, water supply, not to mention good camp food. 😋 Standard clinic with a functional pharmacy and an ambulance. Neat hostels and friendly officials. Weather was to precise. For instance if it were to be sunny it was too sunny
Security there was the utmost priority to the officials, we were cared for like it was home. Food was served in a neat and cordial manner with music served by each platoon on duty. Saw firsthand a sandstorm with a heavy downpour.

It's a garden and home for corp members, when they come, many of them wouldn't want to go back again.
Yes, that's Iseyin for you, it's a city that encompasses Indigents and visitors.

It's a fulfill zone, home away from home. Get to meet new faces and make new friends.

Iseyin NYSC Orientation Camp is peaceful and the best throughout the Federation, the management are well coordinated and organized, dedicated to service, strictly disciplined and God fearing. God bless Oyo state.

The NYSC PERM. ORIENT. CAMP, ISEYIN, ISEYIN LGA OYO STATE, is the place where Corps Members deployed to Oyo do their mandatory 3 weeks orientation course.

Serene and safe environment, with good facilities, Sport Arena for more excitement.. Check it out it was a nice place

My experience at the camp has been really awesome. The social night, the game, the man o'war village, the lectures and the foods. It's really spectacular. I am happy I have this experience.
