Good place to hang out

I’ve been here 4 times in all.
The first two times were nice. I had the goat head peppersoup and it was quite tasty.
Then, several months after, I went there again to treat myself to another goat head. This is when things went sour.

On arrival I was told that the person to prepare the goat head wasn’t yet available. Apparently, I had come too early as he was due to resume by 4pm. I left and returned around 5pm but he had still not arrived. I decided to wait. Some 30mins later, he arrived and got settled in. When I told him what I wanted his response was that they didn’t have goat head available. I left disappointed. Surely I could have been informed that there was no goat head available instead of being allowed to wait for nothing?

A few days after this episode, I returned to try again – this time, I got there around 4:30pm. Again, I was told that the cook had not arrived. Again, I decided to wait. He eventually arrived and then, I started getting a sense that all was not well. Upon enquiry, I was informed that he was actually not the person responsible for preparing the goat head and the person to do that was not yet around. I was a bit confused because this is the same person they told me was to prepare the dish just a few days ago when I was here last. Furthermore, his demeanor upon being told he was to prepare the dish was not happy.
The waitress asked that I should wait because this person, even though it wasn’t his job, was also able to prepare the dish but clearly, there was a disconnect somewhere. It was now around 6pm and these folks were still unable to get their act together.

I got that feeling you get when you’re in an establishment that the owner/manager/supervisor is never around to monitor goings on or is just not interested in customer satisfaction. Why would your staff be 90mins late to work and you have a customer waiting but there is no real sense of concern anywhere? Not even a phone call was placed to the person concerned.
I ended up leaving again, having wasted nearly 2hrs of my evening – very disappointed.
I shall not be returning to this place.
