Aafin Oyo (Oyo Palace) is an ancient palace and one of the oldest palace in Africa. I heard about the ancient palace for the very first time @13 or there about. The Throne and the King commands a great respect, and that's because of its origin and value the kingdom adds to Yorùbá race. The ruling king, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi Iku Baba Yeye is the 46th king of the throne and has reigned for more than five decades. When talking of culture and ancient throne, Alaafin can't be left out.

Oyo town was a very peaceful town till date

It was a fantastic one because they are loving, caring people start from His Imperial Majesty Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III, all Olori's, chiefs and other palace staffs.

It's well guarded And a really beautiful site. Do make sure you visit the museum just outside the palace. They have beautiful stories to tell. There are beautiful images of OYO AND OTHER TOWNS IN THE WEST. FEEL FREE RO REACH OUT
