Though in a very rural and Village setting St. Augustine's Catholic Church, Ichida is one of the best churches in the area, precisely Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State. It is located off the town's major roads and its access road is untarred.
The compound is very large with a very beautifully furnished Church and a very modern Rectory housing the Parish priest and his Vicar.
It was beautiful celebrating there with a very wonderful choir. Though it was a Burial Mass that I attended when a very prominent man, a member of the Igwe's Cabinet, the first Vice Chairman of the Parish Pastoral Council died- the late Sir. Akposionu.
We had two Bishops, very many priests as the deceased had a son who is also a priest. We had many Professed Sisters in attendance too with other members of the laity.
