Monatel Hotel

Monatel hotel is a nice budget hotel, which isn't bad if that's what you're expecting.
The rooms where ok. I'd rate it a 2 and a half star, at most 3 stars.

The rooms have air conditioning and hot water, although don't plan for a quick shower or bath. The water pressure was so low, it took almost 10 minutes to fill a bucket. After that, I didn't bother trying the shower.

The rooms are clean though, there's that. From the sounds at night, I'd assume that the surroundings have a busy night life.

It isn't bad, for Makurdi (if stayed in worse) and was quite busy the weekend I stayed over.

I hear it's owned by a popular politician. (Obviously, I wasn't above gossiping with the help, who were relatively friendly).

They'll even wash your car, for a token. (Sadly, that part was not complementary)

Also, no WIFI or pool but there is a tiny bar/relaxation are within the premises.

And decent parking.

The Hotel opens unto a main thoroughfare and is easily accessible.

Quite okay.
