THE MAGIC OF LESUNG BATU.. As the name of this eatery suggests, maybe there isn't a place around that sells food like nasi goreng kampung 'pedas' which is jazzed up by chilli paste which is pounded using the lesung batu (the stone mortar). I think this eatery's concept is home-style cooking, it's like cooking for family where you cook with an elaborated method of preparation. And it is all done in no hurry because there is no strict time frame to follow. But cooking for paying (and restlessly waiting) customers is a different story altogether. You just can't keep your customers waiting too long while you go the extra yard/mile by repeatedly punching down the fresh chillies using the lesung batu until it becomes a perfect chilli paste instead of simply chopping the chillies off using a knife like what can be seen at a typical mamak's restaurant. If your customers have to wait overtime, by the time a dish reaches their tables, they are already getting frustrated and tired of waiting and thus good dish will end up taste differently because of that. In this case, maybe inviting an assistant cook to come onboard will solve problems in a way it will shorten food preparation time and customers' waiting time (But then, it would be a matter of an additional cost to consider as without offering a high pay, it's hard to attract workers). Anyway turned out this eatery's nasi goreng kampung lesung batu was not just any nasi goreng kampung pedas. It was super tasty and has quite the rich depth of flavours you have been expecting. It was a heavenly draw of 'fiercely hot' nasi goreng kampung pedas. The mee soup was also very delightful from start to finish. I was starting to suspect that a rich mix of fresh ingredients and the right method of preparation might be the keys to the two dishes' burst of flavours and distinct taste. The lesung batu itself has enhanced the flavour of the fried rice. It was worth the thought, extra effort and a painstaking process that went into preparing it. Trust me, this particular dish will become such a hit that it will be synonymous with the outlet. In short, the two dishes were worth the wait. So this outlet is where you can tantalise your taste buds with a quality menu. I also like the taste of the refreshing syrup with lemon very much. It is the best I can have so far around here.

Delicious authentic spicy nasi goreng for those who love spicy i think most of all i loved the Milo n Horlicks snow ice as well

One meal to remember is their mee sup, which is packed with flavours, with light cili kicap adding a fiery underbelly to the dish.
