Ranchan Recreational Park

Nice place for a gate away from city life.. plenty of car parks.. nice waterfalls.. famous among locals.. easy accessibility.. also have cafeteria for everyone and muslim food

I respect the enchanting creations of mother nature . Sitting in front of the waterfall and watching it always made us feeling at peace and takes our breath away by its beauty.

There are a few spots to enjoy swimming or chilling in the natural pool. The water is clean and it flows down. Very easy and accessible to go from the car park to the waterfall area. There is a public toilet available but they don't have shower or changing room facilities which is understandable since there is no entrance fee, so the place may not be the nicest or fanciest but it is now clean, fun to explore around the jungle (the routes are interconnected) and worth the visit!

Clear cold waters from the mountain. A good place for family and friends to have a picnic.

Nice waterfall without need to hike, practically 2 min from carpark, there are toilet and restaurant nearby

Upon entry to the ranchau point
Photo 4. Most people would have went straight ahead to this platform where one can have a bird's eye view of the easy access swim site.
Photo 2. Look for this. This is the point of entry to the stairs leading to kids friendly part. Huge area of shallow water, with some slightly deeper place for accompanying adult. Heads up: no specific place to put your belongings. Bring some outdoor mattress.
Photo 3. An overview of the site. Top is the one with the waterfall (very deep though, and usually will be crowded with adults in group), bottom is the site friendly for family.

Either way..u can reach the area with the waterfall either using the stairs from the platform or from upstream venturing from this kids friendly site~20m travel through some big boulder-not recommended for kids.
For both site
Quite a number of fragmented glass from shattered 🍾mixed with the pebbles and sand of the river bed. Very irresponsible. Suggest to wear something for protection.

Above all. Loved the nature, water extremely cold and beautifully clear. Please take care of this place and can do some charity work by removing those shards upon encounter.

Love the place!.. Perfect place to have a picnic and those who love to swim like me.. This is suitable place.. So here's some view that I've captured..

Great spot, some nice short walks, also has a swimming hole. Food was very good from the cafe.

This time we came back to Ranchan. This mission comes to spend the night and has rented a room. Foods need to take yourself. No cooking place is available. Grounding places are available for barbecue. Beautiful area, view, sound quit and calm. There are nearby rivers to picnics and baths. Not far from the Serian town it only takes 10 minutes to arrive. Ranchan is surrounded by forests and quite a cold feeling when during the night.

Clean water and super natural place, a funny wild fish can massage our foot, really fun

great getaway for a relaxing waterfall dip. The place is easy to find, with an ample parking space. some food stalls are available near the main entrance but they open randomly.
The toilet for changing is a bit far down stream. those dipping in the upper stream will have to make the journey down.
Hygiene wise is all depending on visiting guests. Sometimes it's dirty, sometimes it's not.
