Love at first bite.. second time travelling to johor but this is my first time going here. Went there abit late around 4:30pm so there were only asam pedas ikan jenahak left.. food were delicious, its spicy but tolerable. The gravy was thick and yum. Ordered vegetable, eggs and tempeh goreng berempah..

The best Asam Pedas place in JB. They only serve 2 types of fish : Jenahak & Merah.

The gravy is so spicy with a little bit taste of sour. Only suitable for Asam Pedas fans. Space a bit cramp.

Malay food is always just awesome...
This asam pedas is very syiok. The fish in it is so fresh, that it gives a sweetness to it.
Also enjoyed the accompaniments. Im a huge fan of the ulam, especially the winged beans. The crunch it provides for each mouthful.
Even the tumeric squid dish was surprisingly tasteful. The squid was nice and soft, unlike those rubber-y texture.
Food at affordable prices, everything at about 40sgd. Totally worth it!
Staff are also friendly and super efficient!

Fantastic places. Order asam pedas. Not too shaby I would say. Not the best but far from bad. If you come here on the afternoon may little bit crouded by hospital staff infront of the shop. Parking got many empty space considering other nearby shoplot got not so much customer.

Asam pedas was the right mix of sour and spicy, and the fish was very fresh. Lunch crowd starts streaming in at 12pm.

Would recommend a visit!

The place was filled with hungry customer but the lady who was on shift saw that we were lingering outside looking for table for 8 pax. She approached and assisted to fix us a table - waited less 10 miniutes. While waiting for the seat, she passed us the menu to order first so that the food will be served when the table is ready.

Her service was flawless. All drinks and food came- served hot. She assisted in preparing food for my kids who can't take spicy.

The ASAM PEDAS IS SUPERB! The fish is fresh and the sambal belacan is brilliant~!

When you are hungry and craving for asam pedas, this is one place you can consider. A little bit pricy but the food is great. So it’s value for money. Slightly off the main attraction area in JB but it will be worth your time. Area is not fantastic but hey we came for the food anyway.

2nd visit.. One of the better ones. Dulang lima also good. This is spicy. Beri naise. Fish portion is huge. Ample parking.

I don't like asam pedas so much but this one asam pedas was delicious and tasty. It recommended by someone who don't like it so much.Enjoy it.

I had travel in to so many places in malaysia, indonesia, singapore... but this is the best asam pedas so far.

Every dish we ordered was tasty. The asam pedas was the bomb. Definitely recommend.

Asam pedas was exceptionally good. Reminds me of my late aunt recipe. Will definitely come back for more. Food was quick to be served. We came arnd 3pm therefore less crowd avoiding the lunch hour. Thumbs up 👍👍👍.

Best asam pedas I've tried anywhere

Food taste good as always just that we reached there at about 3.30p.m and was told that they only left wish fish head asam pedas, three types of vege and tempe goreng. Halfway thru waiting saw a staff carrying eggs and we immediately order the telur dadar. Food took quite some time to reach us, but as it was served hot, to me it's worth the wait.

p/s: i rated atmosphere 5 star, but no aircond okay. But it was windy and the shop is clean without flies, so it was great 😃

Still my #1 asam pedas (AP) to go too.

You have an option to just buy the AP gravy, for those non seafood eaters.

The Crispy fried chicken and sotong kunyit is solid good too. worth every cent!
