Place to catch a rare sight of Rafflesia. Need to check official Facebook page to check rafflesia is blooming before going to avoid disappointment.

Rafflesia is usually found on Rafflesia Trail, just a short distance from start of the jungle trek.
The waterfalls are deeper in the jungle and require more stamina and time allocated.

To speed up registration, scan QR code in their Facebook page to fill visitors’s details before going.

Located in Lundu town, 100km from Kuching city. The road from Kuching to Lundu is in good highway condition and easy driving.

We went there just before the last day of the blooming Rafflesia. It was raining for few days already, so we were lucky to still see the Rafflesia in shape. Moving on to the waterfall, we only went to the first and second waterfall, and each route took about 30mins of hiking, but it's definitely worth it. Wear sport shoes, bring enough water, and spare clothes. I would not recommend swimming at the second waterfall, you are not able to see through the water but it is VERY deep. Stay safe and have fun. Follow the Gunung Gading facebook page if you want to get the latest info on Rafflesia blooming.

Beautiful raflessia bloom seen on day 5 of bloom 11 March 2022. Only 250m walk to see this. AMAZING. If you wish to continue the hike, can continue on to visit the waterfall 7 and further longer uphill is mount gading peak.

Rafflesia and waterfall, especially no 7, what's more to ask for?

How about the Lintan trails? I have to turn back midway as the signs were no longer visible to me.

But I do understand that it's gonna to be a mammoth task to maintain the signs through the wreckage caused by constant tropical thunderstorms!

Taman negara gunung Gading, Lundu is located 85km from Kuching city. Here you can go for hiking and jungle trekking. There are also beautiful waterfalls here if you just want to chill and relax. Biggest flower in the world, Rafflesia can also be found here although only within a certain time of a year.

A well preserved national park that best for jungle trekking. Apart from plants, you might meet certain special insects or animal if you are lucky. There are four waterfalls inside the wood and the water is cold and crystal clear. Also, the famous rafflesia flower can be found here but it only boom on certain period. If you are here for the rafflesia, please check the facebook page as they will announce the booming time and duration there.

The scenery is beautiful and the waterfalls are worth the hike. If you're lucky, you might be able to see a Rafflesia or two. The site provides very basic accommodation and a camping spot for the adventurous. You may want to avoid staying overnight however if bugs and critters are not your fancy.

Great hiking and wildlife sighting here. Contrary to popular belief, rafflesia is in bloom 365 days a year, just not always in the “conservation area” where it is more easily spotted and accompanied by a guide. Our guide was super amazing and knew so much about the park and all the wildlife. Got to swim in the natural springs and enjoy the fresh air. Will be coming back for overnight stays for better hiking and wildlife sighting.

A very nice trek to waterfall 7, worth it just for a little swim. We recommend taking a guided tour, the guide took us off track and we got to see a Rafflesia in bloom.

3 different waterfall, but relatively easy trail to waterfall 1. Great place to escape from the city, especially when Rafflesia blooms!

The internet is full of incorrect information about reaching the park by public transport. Here is the latest info as of July 28. There is one bus daily to Lundu, from where you can get to the entrance of the park. The bus departs from Boulevard mall, not the city center, and not Kuching Sentral (as many will tell you, even the national park booking office). The bus leaves at 10:00. After going to Sematan, the bus is said to be back in Lundu around 13:00 for the return journey to Kuching. I would be there early. By the way, I took the 8:30 3A bus from the Saujana parking lot in Kuching (where many local buses start from) to Boulevard mall. That gave me more than enough time for breakfast at one if the many restaurants across the street before the Lundu bus left.

One of the only places to catch a rare sight of the Rafflesia. Great trek and scenery as well (if you like nature).
