India Mosque Kuching

In my opinion, the India Mosque, AKA the Floating Mosque, is the best looking one in Kuching. Its two blue domes give it character and its location right on the Sarawak River separate it from the rest. If you visit outside of prayer time, you can visit the outdoor platform for great views of the other side of the river.

So beautifiul, and the Imam, Ustaz Abd Khalid is so friendly and helpful. The masjid overlooks the river and at night the view from the balcony is absolutely fantabulous. There are local eateries nearby and a pasar when I went, and it was just convenient to head down to the masjid from the pasar when the azan was called.

Best place for having a prayer near the riverside (waterfront). You can enjoy sunset at the west side of the mosque... Super clean tandas (toilet) in my view btw...

Small space for muslimat. The partition also can see thru from muslimin.

During Friday prayer, you can just park your car at the roadside. The MBKS wont fine you. There is also car park provided, guarding by security guard of mosque.

Come during maghrib/isha. You can see the lights from darul hana bridge and DUN very beautiful from the mosque.

This is a masjid that built by all the Indian Muslims in this Kuching. This is a masjid where increase the honor of Indians in this Kuching. Must visit this masjid. This is a very beutiful masjid where it place between the Sarawak river, the walking bridge and Astana. One can view the beautiful masjid fron there and they also can view the beautiful of Astana from the masjid.

The mosque is really a unique building. During a program from my campus, I am able to get inside the mosque and see the mesmerising chandelier of the mosque. Really great ! Furthermore, the mosque guardians are friendly and they really take care of the mosque and those who want to have insight look.They also allow the non Muslims to get inside with the condition of dressing modestly.
