Pleasant vibes and the crew are all pleasant.
You can try the local brew which is nice, and spot also the local rice wine.....

oh yeah if you choose to sit outdoors, it's payment before beers as the seats are not within eyesight of the bar (perfectly fair requirement)

I highly recommend this place. You can enjoy cool fresh beer and BBQ menu after 6 p.m. The tap beer is so fresh and cold, and 3 layer pork has crispy outside and soft inside. Amazing!! 👍👍👍

This was one of the popular drinking holes along Carpenter Street. Drunk Monkey was also a victim of the ravages of the pandemic. They only reopened their doors in late July.
Physically the place still looks the same. They had kept the old theme intact.
Hope to visit the place again in the evening to witness the vibrancy spilling over to the lane that leads to Bishopgate.

Love to drop by at this place while I'm in Kuching. Nice music, old school charm. Friendly bartenders. Tiger draught is nice and chill. They also serve Guinness on tap. Walking distance from most hotels near River Front.

Great little bar in the old town / waterfront area. Fantastic streefoody (burger / pizza / taco) food available around the back as well.

Still my favourite pub in town with chilled draught beer and oldies music. The most check in place for those Instagramers

Great place to hang out with family and friends, variety of whiskey, beer and other drinks, food can be ordered from outlets bear y and you'll love the seat overlooking the iconic building of the state legislative on the other side of the river, friendly crew's also make this place a great one to visit when in Kuching city

My friend and I received a warm welcome by a hospitable staff. Julius the bartender is knowledgeable and he is ably assisted by two helpful and friendly staff. Try the tuak and go back again!

Tge place is so Awsome. Seating is outdoors in a side street and there is an indoor seating. Cool music but the volume is low. Great for groups or just chilling for the night.

Super chill, open-air bar concept which is rather lovely. Tables are mainly outside in the cozy alley (which has trees and lanterns, what's not to love), but there are spots inside too. Great place to hang with your mates. You can also order food from the surrounding cafes and restaurants so that's a plus.

Yes, it's a nice bar with a nice seating area outside. Good staff, good environment, good music. Food on menu is from two adjacent restaurants (depending on your choice) and it was reasonably OK. A spot to meet people, travellers and enjoy yourself.

Mixed in with the other bars along the water edge, however we came back to this one each evening. The owner was very friendly not overly fussy as with the other bars and left you to a quiet evening well noise of the live acts drowned out the piece but great fun.

Great boozer, good music, not too noisy. Long happy hours, good beer and wine selection. Grub can be bought from several restaurants around. Love it

Nothing like a nice and cozy place to chilax with your lads after a late nights work or a group meeting with friends. They have great selection of wine, liquor, and beers in a typical kuching night life style, smack right in the middle of the famous Carpenter Street, hence without worries of any other noise pollution aside from the house music and the ocasional laughing table from across yours .
