Gerbang Laut Pulau Mawar

Please wear appropriate clothes for the hiking as you need to climb a steep hill. A hidden gem worth all the challenges.

First time visited Pulau Mawar. Definitely will visit my next trip.

A short hike but a bit steep to climb before reaching the rock formation. Beautiful views. Please keep the site clean. Wear appropriate clothing and footwear.

Nice nature attraction ini this area, accessible when low tide. Have to little bit hiking to reach the destination. Also in this area there are mangroves forest, not so big, and one of them is famous for photography. Access to this location little bit off from main road, though sstill ok. Nice place to visit in Mersing

Never imagined to see such astounding rock formation in Penyabong . Subhanallah. Mawar Island Arch or Gerbang Pulau Mawar. It is a gigantic rock arch as if welcoming visitors from the sea. To get there from Mersing Geopark, we will have to cross almost a half kilometre sand bridge which will reveal itself only during low tide that will allow people to walk on and cars especially 4x4 driven on it. Then A short 10 to 15 minutes trekking through a mangrove and followed by a little bit of perilous climbing. For safety sake, it would be nice if the local council could build a proper ladder and put in place the necessary safety features. This rare geo formation must be preserved. It is a gift from God. Keep it clean.

Very challenging but views very nice

even though we went during monsoon season, we really have a mesmerising time here. this place is magical and mythical.

suggested for you to request for local guide to help you navigate the area. pok jat the local guide is very kind in showing us the way leading to pulau mawar, otherwise we don’t think we could found our way here. as there was fallen trees obstructing the usual pathways

one more thing, don’t left your belongings unattended as there are monkeys lurking

Just a short walk from beach but should select low tide period otherwise can't pass thru the beach.

Beautiful, thrilling and fun. Walk quite a distance and some hiking but everything would be worth it, trust me comrade.

Mersing hidden gems! somewhat challenging route but the view really worthy!

Very underrated attraction that is a must visit. Best to only come during low tide.

This is an amazing plae for nature lovers. However, you need to know the path to the Gerbang Laut was it was kind of hidden. We hiked towards the end of the cape before returning back and saw someone wrote the direction on the sand. It’s a beautiful place and it worth the visit.

Best place for sea lovers and nature lovers. Can do hiking.

Great place to see lot of geological formation. Only accessible during low tide. Need to pass through small patch of mangrove and 30m steep hike. A bit shame lot of trash left behind and rock formation were smudged with black oil
