Signature fried porridge - Still awesome, but the food has lost some original taste. Not like before, but it's still worth trying. Normally run out at 6.30pm.

Siam steam fish - Somehow the taste is different. Previously it was sweet and sour, now there is a santan after taste that we don't like.

Fry prawn - Really good. Prawn is fresh and fried to perfection. The best dish of the day.

Fry half side cockle - Fresh and juicy. The chilli sauce is spicy and tasty.

Sour plum fried chicken - Delicious delicious delicious.

Fry choy tam - Simple but nice. You can taste the crunchiness and sweetness of the vegetable.

For me, this place is quite far from Penang Island but worth to try. The fried porridge is really nice, prawn also very tasty, same to the kerabu (even though abit spicy and have to avoid those small chili). We made call in the afternoon to book for fried porridge for dinner. When we reach, have to wait a while for table, after order also waited 20mins for food. Not alot workers and all are own family members so have to be patient.

Sin Aik Kee is a local restaurant, in the remote off road town Serdang. If you are planning to dine, please do com early, as it is a family business run restaurant, and they are often short handed. Its famous for its fried thick porridge, khengsom fish and also the half side cockles.

A second generation Teochew cook from father to son, in this rustic town of Serdang, Kedah.
Start off with Lime Juice and Thai Kerabu Manggo, sprinkled with fiery chilli padi and dried calamari. Followed by stirfried chilli sauce cockles with sprinkles of pork lard .... crunch...

Next the famed fried porridge with strings of dried calamari coupled with good 'wok hei' ... watch your tongue! Then a flurry of Tomyam prawns... sour and fiery, Steamed fish Thai style ..... oooh... and stirfried wild paddy frog....firm and meaty. ( Option: Steamed with ginger stripes ... with chicken essence? ).
Good food needs time to prepare, but at least all these are personally and passionately cooked by the cook, Brian, himself.

Superb! Will only go this restaurant for fried porridge. The clam is also a must! A little bit spicy, and lard in it is just taste so nice. Highly recommended

Basically I took away this round. Usually have it there. Great fried porridge. I like their 3 taste fried fish as well.

The fried porridge is authenticated with unique taste while fried prawn is so lovely that make one’s unstoppable.

Excellent choice for dinner if you're in this area. The guava kerabu is a must try, and of course the signature fried porridge must not be missed. A special mention for the garlic fried choi sum which is a simple dish but tasted so delicious with sweetness from the fresh tiny prawns.

Drove 1hr just to try it out. Very yummy! The porridge and the sour chicken cutlets is the best!

Very nice fried porridge

Its really special and nice as you rarely or almost cannot find fried porridge at the town area. This place is far and required almost 30min drive from the tol booth.

The fried porridge here is good!! Highly recommended to try. The other dishes are also not bad!
