Gerai Ikan Patin Pak Usop

It was really good experience on the food today.

We waited and queued for the second round of cooks around 1/2 an hour, mainly for their signature dish Gulai Ikan Patin Tempoyak.

Eventhough it tasted quite spicy for me, but we want to continue enjoying the patin gravy plus the patin is really fresh from the periuk. Haha

For sure will repeat one.
We went there during Merdeka & back to KL.

Would love to come again to lunch here! The food is very delicious with cheap reasonable price! I cant stop thinking about the sambal tempoyak, you can taste some durian chunks in it 😍 everything here was good, the staffs also good with their service. Its a food court place, so come early for seats and parking.

Well known for the ikan patin tempoyak and ikan patin goreng. The food was good/okay. I'm not a fan of tempoyak generally but this was palatable. I liked how it was spicy, tangy (reminds me of Indian rasam) and the tempoyak Sambal tasted strongly of durian. I would say it doesn't taste as fermented as it usually does. I think 🤔 perhaps a tempoyak purist who wants a stronger fermented flavour may not like this as much. Service and parking was ok. Good selection of ulam.
Location: head down to the river near the Petronas petrol station. The restaurant is located in a row of restaurants.

For those who want to try cheap, delicious and authentic patin masak tempoyak.. here is the place. Highly recommended. Will stop by again for my next trip to Kuantan. Cheers

My all time favourite place for Patin Gulai Tempoyak. Always served hot and only taken out from the pot on stove when ordered. Price still reasonable compare to other places. Thick gravy with enough sour and spicy that will definitely makes you get addicted to it.

First, i have to admit i haven't had many tempoyak patin before. But this one is awesome. Shop open at 12 (according to the staff). We came on saturday, reach there around 1030. Start queuing on 1120, and the patin tempoyak not yet cooked! After ~50 min, finally we got the dishes.
The patin itself is really, really good. Fish is fresh, not overcook, quite spicy. The portion also big. For me and family, absolutely worth it.
After we finish our meal (15 min or so), the whole patin dishes sold out. So you guys better plan your trip to avoid disappointment.

The best fresh water fish dish patin masak tempoyak in Termerloh..taste fresh n spicy(rasa asli n segar,jg pedas tanpa manis berlebihan) compare to other restaurant which is too sweet.. the price also acceptable,RM12 per BIG slice.

The best ikan patin masak tempoyak in town guys. Every year balik kampung will not missed to visit here. Recommended

Though the patin fish is spicy but when eaten with their tempoyak it tastes so good that we'll definitely return for more. Pak Usop was very friendly and generous too. The tempoyak was so good we would have packed the frozen one to take home if not for the too long journey (7 days touring) before we go home.

You can get a Patin fish cooked in a fermented Durian which called as Tempoyak that have spicy and savoury taste in yellow broth. Enjoy it!!
