Koloyan River Cottage

A great place for a picnic with the family. Facilities for grilling, changing clothes and a sink for washing are provided. The barbecue hut is also close to the river, so it is easy to monitor the children swimming in the river. If you want a barbecue hut close to the river, you can book first. But I would like to suggest the owner to build an accessible road for wheelchair. Thank you.

One of the best campground you can find in Bau. This is my 4th times I set my tent here. I like the freedom during our stay. Can cook, grill, bbq anything you want. Can swim anytime you like. Can karaoke as loud as you wish until 2AM. Within walking distance for basic accomodations from campground. And there are few upgrades which is solar-lamp poles and a new shower room/toilet/sink.

Paradise that's all I can say. The environment is relaxing. Surrounded by nature and waking up in the morning so refreshing. Owner is a kind lady and her son, will try their best to accommodate and make your stay comfortable. Took a dip in the river at night a must!! As for mosquito just bring repellent but should not be an issue as your in the middle of a jungle.

Very nice place for family picnic. The place is clean and comfortable. Toilet available (clean). Not so far from Pekan Bau. Parking space a lot. First come first serve basis. No need booking for day picnic. Come early should be banyak kosong. Hehe. So far, sangat puas hati. Thank you

Good place for relax, bbq, hangout with friends and swimming. River water clean and quiet clear. Only that this river not quite suitable for small children and those who can't swim, because river flow are quite strong.

Nice place for reunion either with your family or meeting friends,have facilities Bbq pit,rooms ,big areas for kids to play,large spaces for parking and not to mention cool fresh water stream river for bathing or swim.

A well hidden cottage in Bau, next to the river where you can enjoy your bath there. Entrance fee is RM2/pax. There are a few rows of long houses that are available for stay. I think they are charging RM150++ per room per night. This is a nice place to be if you want to be close to the nature.

There's restaurant you can dine in, alcohol drinks are available. I bought a bottle of pineapple Tuak for RM20 there. Refreshing taste. They have some nice cats and dogs around too. Don't worry they don't bite.

Went to Koloyan River Cottage (KRC) a few days before the end of 2021. We rented the cottage for the day as we had about 18 people coming. Price was reasonable with all the amenities for a barbeque and picnic being provided. The cottage had 4 queen-sized bed too, which was very useful for our old ones and younger ones to take a nap right after their swim.

KRC has a barbeque area next to the river (you will need to pay for the area though) as well, which was amazing for those coming in a smaller group than ours. The river itself was also kids-friendly and we were able to rent floats for the kids to swim in the river.

Kevin, the person in charge of the booking, was very efficient and informative when answering our questions prior to our trip to KRC.

Overall experience here was definitely great and relaxing. Excited to come back here again!

A place for people that love nature and swim at the river. There a 3 long house for those want to stay overnight. Walk-in also recommended.

We were so in love with the clear river till can see the fishes were swimming.My sabahan friends were enjoy staying at the long house and Karaoke till late night.The price was affordable.Thank you for the warm hospitality.We wil come back soon

The ambience of nature meets a relaxing time at Koloyan...clear river and serene jungle surrounds the place peacefully...a great place to rest and enjoying what mother nature has to offer...The cottages are also great to stay...affordable and well managed.
