People Mountain People Sea Books Cafe (PMPS Books Cafe)

With the craving for Lei Cha during the weekend, I revisit the cafe after quite some time. The cafe is now more organised with its decorations and theme compared to its first opening years ago.

The portion of Lei Cha rice is just nice even for the first timer to this Hakka signature. The soup is rich with the aroma of different types of herbs. Peanuts, tofu, basil, coriander, long beans, mint, choy sum are the side dishes to the rice.

The reading materials on sale here are targeted for children and teens. It could be an alternative for parents if you're searching for books to cater the needs for young ones.

Good taste of the food and friendly waitress. Have a book to read during enjoy the food.

This place add colours to the small town! Great place for friends gathering with gathering games provided; or come alone and you have books to read.

Food are above average with decent price. Soy milk and taufufa are home made. They have cakes and western food too, that will be my next visit.

If you want elevation of flavours and heightened sense of comfort, space, eccentricity, this is the perfect place for it. Located on the busy road with intriguing Japanesey facade and interior will await your visit. Sterling warm service and expeditiously delivered food will has made it into a momentous occasion. Try the decadent cakes which is not too sweet to my liking. Kudos to all and all the very best !!! I think my globetrotting gastronomical adventure has found its home!

Yummy cakes here. Good service from the staff - they're very responsive to our requests. But I would suggest they do something about the flies. There are a few of them flying around.
