Jetty Tanjung Gemuk

Pleasant experience at the Jetty. Everything was smooth from ferry ticket collection to boarding the ferry. Plenty of parking space for those who drive.

Much easier and cleaner than Mersing jetty for travelling to Tioman. Both Cataferry and Bluewater are available here (check schedule in advance). The ticket office is within the jetty building, as is the marine park desk.

There is parking at the jetty however it can be limited during peak travel times.

Toilets are decent. There is a small surau behind the waiting area.

There are a few places to buy water/beverages including vending machines.

13 adults and 5 kids and 2 babies arrived on Hari Raya 6:30am. The jetty is clean, the car park operator is kind and professional. The officer and ship crew were all kind and friendly. We greet "selamat Hari Raya" :)

The toilet is very clean, and this is certainly a lot family friendly than Mersing.

Clean and organised jetty to Tioman Island. Parking lots are well maintained and guarded.

Very easy to reach... got parking inside the compound area RM12 per day..safe n guarded... outside parking RM10/day..male sure wearing a mask during this covid time...

Return ticket RM70 with Bluewater Express...it took around 90 mnt to 120mnt...the ticket got seat no..so no worries not having place to seat...

Toilet very clean n jetty just small but very convenient..got a lot of seat n small shop if u wanna buy things...staff also so nice..kind n friendly...

We came to Tg Gemuk jetty into Tioman due to BlueWater ferry schedules to board at 12.00 noon instead of 02.00pm at Mersing Jetty. (RM120 return tickets and between 1.5 - 2 hours journey)
1. Avoid school holidays as the ferry will be packed and finding parking slots at the ferry terminal will be a major headache.
2. Book your tickets online.
3. Clean waiting area with some foodies stalls there. The waffle was yummy.
4. There are lots of restaurants near the Jetty terminal.

A beautiful jetty to visit, we enjoyed walking around and walking down all the Jettys, there is plenty of space, the fishermen come here. There are often people on their mopeds riding on the jetty but there is plenty of space for everyone. I love to watch the sea so I found this space very calming - and of course the sea is so very beautiful here, blue, clear and no rubbish (which compared to the rest of the world was a lovely sight to see).

Ferry Jetty to Tioman Island. Have economic & luxury ferry choice. Plan your time, transport & accommodation in advance..have carpark, close to supermarket, hotel, resorts & homestay.. overnight at nearby resort in Rompin or Penyabung is advisable..Own drive is advisable..

For those of you who will take this ferry. Bear in mind about your stop. Because the ferry will stop at several jetties.

1st- Kampung Genting
2nd- Kampung Paya
3rd- Kampung Tekek
4th- Kampung Air Batang
5th- Kampung Salang

Kampung Tekek is the centre or capital area for Tioman Island. If your area is not listed above, most likely you're going to disembark at Kampung Tekek and take 4 wheel drive to your area.

This chronological order is important so that you know what to expect when your jetty is next. Unfortunately the ferry assistant is not telling you about this info.

Most passengers are surprised when ferry arrived at their jetty. Hope this helps

They followed all the SOP during the RMCO. Easy to find parking with reasonable parking fee. Can find cheap restaurants go eat and clean too.

Better option of jetty to take ferry to Tioman Island. Less congested and safe parking.

Jetty to Pulau Tioman is fastest ferry from here. It's take only 1 1/2 hr to reach the destination.

If go in Tioman island, should using this jetty, very convenient

mersing jetty are subject to sea tide for the ferry departure which mean the time of departure from mersing varies compare to tg gemuk

Nice staff. Ferry sometimes would delayed. Get ready with some food supplies when boarding.
