Underwater World Langkawi

We had a very good experience in underwater world, it was new for us.
It’s famous in Langkawi, and affordable.
You can enjoy every area with cleanliness and calm atmosphere.
Highly recommended for tourists even for families.
Duty free next underwater is affordable to buy souvenirs.

I absolutely love this place. Simple yet still there are a number of exhibits to watch and observe around. You will be welcomed by fish and birds at the main entrance. Surprisingly some birds are friendly as they can simply roam around the area unafraid of the visitors walking among them. Other unique animals that you spot on are penguins, sharks, stingray, otter and jelly fish. Do check out the feeding schedule of some animals that the staff will feed daily. You will not only able to observe the activity but also getting the latest information by the staff on duty explaining about the animals and their activities. Towards the end of the exhibits, you can spot few shops selling merchandise and chocolates too. I was surprised to find that the price was reasonable too despite the stalls were located inside the building of underwater itself. Definitely a good bargain for me.

Before this, I already made a review on Google Review regarding my experience at Underwater World Langkawi. But maybe there are some problems that my review cannot reach you guys. And after having a chat with Mr. Megat, he asks me to check my review—maybe there are some violations or so on and edit my review. So here is my review.

I went to Underwater World Langkawi about a couple months ago, in December 2023.

Such a wonderful experience! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. Starting from the rain forest, where we saw flamingos, cockatoos, and other birds. The performance from Renzo, who is the fur seal, was astonishing! Later on, we watched the penguin feeding session. The penguins look cute and adorable. The other fish also look cute and adorable. Clownfish, damsels, etc.

While we are focusing on watching the stingrays, one of your employees approaches us to share information regarding bamboo sharks. The keeper talks are also very informative and useful! The keeper, Miss Ainul showed us bamboo shark eggs and gave some information. Her tone of speech and how she dealt with me are very impressive! Her smiling is also charming and makes my wife melt with her kindness.

We also meet Mr. Megat, whom I assume is a customer service representative. He plays such a good role in his job. As an Arab from Egypt, we really love grouper fish because we eat a lot of grouper, especially red grouper. Mr. Megat's knowledge regarding groupers was amazing! And what amazed me is that he can speak ARABIC!!! Me and my wife were so amazed because there are Malaysians who can speak Arabic confidently and fluently. He guides us from the marine section until the exit section. What a nice guy and good Muslim!

And what impressed me is that the keeper, Miss Ainnul is not just a keeper but she is also a diver and can dive into the tank to feed the fish. She looks calm during the session.

Both Miss Ainnul and Mr. Megat show professionalism in their work. You guys should raise both their salaries because they are compassionate and dedicated to their work. Please take care of their welfare and keep them as your employees because they are your assets. ! ﺟَﻴِّﺪ

Malaysian people are very kind and good. Hospitality wow!

It is definitely worth visiting this aquarium. إن شاء الله we will come back in the future.

Good for family and educational trip. The whole visit takes around 1 hour. Fully air conditioned. Love the penguin and otter.

Highly recommended! Was very impressed with everything I saw. The only thing is, I thought that the place is big since people say you will spend 3 hours roughly in underwater world. I find the place quite small personally for the price. But since I paid via package I didn't quite feel the pinch directly.
Overall I really did enjoyed myself with my family. I took many videos 📷

Great place to visit if you love fish, saw 3 lots of feeding between penguins and otters loved all these.

Went here during school holidays, surprisingly it is not crowded at all. Banyak species haiwan dekat sini, dari haiwan darat, ke laut, ke hutan, macam macam ada. Randomly came here as my husband and I have no idea where to go. So it was my 1st time here. Im enjoying every corner of this place. Ticket around RM40+ per person for adult.

A must visit tourist attraction in Langkawi. Very educational for family with children because they can see the animals and read the information provided. The staff are very friendly and polite. Enjoy the feeding session of penguins 🐧, stingray and otter. Not forgetting the detailed explanation of the python and have chance to hold it. Appreciate all the kind gestures from all the staff.

Was a very nice experience...some tanks were under maintainance...but overall was great

Exploring the Underwater World Langkawi was a blast! The abundance of diverse animals and fishes made the experience incredibly enjoyable. It's a fantastic destination for animal lovers and anyone seeking an immersive and fun underwater adventure.

It's an aquarium. You guys should visit with toddlers. It will make their day. Oh, wait for demonstrations! Ticket bought via klook package. It's totally worth it.

Best place to go to...worth the money..my children enjoy going there and want to go again... there's penguin, shark, jellyfish, flamingo, etc..make sure u bring water bottle as the walk is rather long in there...

You can buy ticket just by walk in or through apps example klook (cheaper) price sometime.
Closed at 6pm go around 11am so u have enough time to watch penguin feeding show and etc. The whole session not taking too much time is about 2hours longest can finished.

You can have a great underwater world experience. Here, I love the penguins and jellyfish the most. You can have a lot of information about the animals in the oceans. They also have shops after exist.

Best place to bring ur kids. They got penguin in the house

Still can't find my LED prawns and Aquaman.

Great for every level of age. Various sea creatures and some land animals. The penguin feeding session was enjoyable.

Very impressive! There is a beautiful tunnel-like part made out of glass where penguins, sharks, turtles, stingrays etc. swim over you, which was my favourite part. This is all beautifully done with a wide selection of animals. Really nice!

Full spectrum aquarium with sharks, penguins, seals and all sorts of sea life, the likes of which I’d never seen before.
