Menara Condong Teluk Intan

Menara Condong aka Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan was originally built as a Water Tower as an emergency water supply for the residence of Teluk Intan and drought. Nice historical site to visit and with an entrance fee of RM2, one can actually climb the stairs right to the top of the tower. The remains of the steel water tank is still there with the main pipe being disconnected. While on the second floor and above, you can feel the tilt of the tower while walking around the corridor. A must place to visit while traveling to Ipoh, do take an hours drive into Teluk Intan.

Very beautiful place to visit but not much u can do once arrived. Lively environment during night. Plenty of toys and food vendor within compound.

Attraction places to visit in Teluk Intan. Quite lively especially on the weekend. Gerbang malam & pasar minggu (local market), are an alternative option to 'invest' your money 💰.

Visited Teluk Intan for the pasar malam and also the Menara Condong last Saturday. The area is lively with visitors and locals spending their time and also near the pasar malam area.

it is recommended that if you want to come make sure to follow the season, if it's summer make sure to wear thin clothes, the ticket fee is 2 ringgit per person. don't be like me 😂, think it's cold here and I'm wearing a rather thick shirt, when I enter this leaning tower it feels like entering an oven 😂

Great place to visit if you are near. On the weekend there are music concerts and festivals.

Area near the tower is very large space. This area is very clean and not crowded but parking is limited. Anyone who wants to visit the tower by car should come early.

This famous icon of Teluk Intan, formerly known as Telok Anson, was built in 1884 by contractor Leong Choon Chong.

It originally housed the water tank that supply water to the town area and reserve during drought and fire.

It was also used to report time and served as a beacon to guide ship into Telok Anson Port.

The tower drew comparison with the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa in ltaly. Standing at only
25 meters with 110 steps, it is not as tall compared to the Leaning Tower of Pisa which stand at 55 meters

The tower have a pagoda shaped design. Although it look like an eight-storey tower, the circular brick structure is actually three-storey high.

The structure is made of wood and brick. The base of the tower is 13 meters in diameter against 8.2 meters in diameter at the top.

Now, the Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan serve as a clock tower. The chiming clock which was installed in 1894. It was bought from London and designed by J.W. Benson Ludgathy.

The landmark for Teluk Intan. Quite nice to just chill at night and they lit up the tower to attract visitors. There were several boards with info of the tower and Teluk Intan itself nearby that area. Several food trucks were available to buy snacks.

Nice building, not too crowded. Entrance fee is okay and inside is fully furnished

Time flies so fast that this place now revamp to a great family activities during the night. I came on weekends night and we have lots of people chilling under the big tents provided directly infront of the menara condong. I would suggest you bring your own mat to sit down on the ground rather than sit on the bare ground.

You can play the bubbles by spending rm5. It is a nice experiences.

A must visit if in teluk intan. Lots of shops nearby. Good view of the town from above. Rm4 entrance fee is very reasonable.

the main landmark in teluk intan. If you visit during the day, you should grab the chance to go up to the tower with a small charge. The view during the night is beautiful.

Visit here during Chinese New Year. Lean tower has been decorated with plenty og tanglung and light setup on lean tower. Great to have photo with family and friends.

The famous historical building known as Menara Jam Condong Teluk Intan in Malaysia. The second annouced as leaning tower in the world after Leaning Tower of Pisa Italy. Build in 1885, used as a clock tower and water tank for British Colony during the time. It is 25 meter build up with outside look like 8 storeys, however it is only 3 storey building inside. Now, the building is more than 100 years and being as a one of the tourist attraction in Teluk Intan District. You have to pay for entrance fee of RM2 for adult and RM1 for children above 6yo to enter into the building. A lot of historical information provided in the building and some old school stuff exhibit in the tower. It is a nice place for photo shot & scenery.
