Personally i prefer the chives chai kuey here as while it may not be beautifully wrapped as compared to penang island type but the flavor is just absolutely perfect! Main reason is that they wrap it while it is burning hot.

There's 3 Teochew style dim sum along the road, descendant from same family. This, in my opinion is the better taste chai kueh among the 3.

Salted vege fish soup is outstanding. A bit too peppery for the stir-fry tong hoon and sengkuang chai kueh.

Childhood taste, always the best chai-kuey in Jawi area.

If u like less peppery chai kuih, this is the better choice for you. Other ala cart stuff are not as good as other shops ( i prefer more dry of tang hoon/fried glass noodle and more salty loh mee)

Fried tang hoon and Fried fish with bean curd very nice. Chai kuih kuchai best but some people might don't like due to the skin too soft.

One of the best cai kuih that I've ever tried. I loved their cai kuih a lot and you definitely must try if you come.
