Delicious laksa kedah 😋 . The unique taste of the orange coloured coconut condiment adds more flavour to the already awesome laksa. You can also try the pulut panggang which is glutinous rice with the tasty fish filling. So simple yet so good. While you're at it, make sure to order the ABC or shaved ice served with condensed milk and syrup topped with corn cream as well as hidden suprise at the bottom. Another good drink is leng chi kang which is sweet drink with jelly, lychee and all sort of good stuff in it. Good to cool you off on a hot day. Overall, awesome experience. Highly recommended

Zakaria is one of the two laksa teluk kechai stores located next to each other. While there the differences between the two are fairly minimal (with Zakaria perhaps having the edge in terms of size and presentation) , the atmosphere and variety of other dishes offered is better than its traditional rival next door. If you only have time to try just one of the two stores, I’d recommend Zakaria first for the atmosphere.

Not much you can add to the most well-known Laksa outlet in Alor Setar actually.

Accessibility
It is highly accessible since it is located by the Alr Setar - Kuala Kedah main road. Very visible, too.

Parking
Since it is located by the main road, there is ample parking along the road. Only thing is you've got to walk a bit if you're unlucky not to get a parking space in front of the outlet.

Food
Main fare is of course, Laksa. But other delicacies like satay, pulut sambal, dadih are also available. The Laksa Teluk Kechai is very different from other laksas available elsewhere. You've just got to taste it!

Take-away
Besides eating-in, there is also Laksa Kilo for you to take home. Everything is given to you but you will need to bring out your knives, forks and spoons when you get home. Apart from the Laksa and the "kuah", the other ingredients are raw!

This is my wife's and I favorite place for it's one of a kind and out of this world kinda laksa. The coconut yellow sambal infused in every bowl of it's laksa heighten the level of deliciousness of the laksa to supremacy. Congratulations to both for making everyone happy. My wish is for you both prosper.

You talk about different type of laksa in Malaysia but in my opinion none can beat Laksa teluk kecai. A fine cuisine of it's own zone par excellence.

The most famous Laksa in Kuala Kedah/Alor Setar. With it's special coconut sambal that you can't find anywhere else, definitely worth it!

The laksa here is great and the sambal that comes with the laksa is phenomenal. They also have many other selections of kueh.

15 years eating here never disappoint . the food was super good (top 50 Malaysia laksa) fyi but lately the price got up quite a bit.
