My dad and I visited Mita Gourmet on our trip to Loreto, and it quickly became our favorite spot. The food was incredible! I had phenomenal tacos with perfectly seasoned meat and fresh toppings. Other standouts included the chile rellenos and the surprisingly delicious beef Bolognese pasta. We raved about Mita Gourmet to our group, and they were lucky enough to snag a reservation for our last night. The restaurant was very accommodating to our large party (14 people) and everyone loved their meals. I will definitely be back next time I'm in Loreto!

Delicious! I had the Huevos Rancheros which was simple and perfect with a very light tomato sauce.

My friend had something that looked like breakfast lasagna. I forgot the name. It was amazing too.

I loved the green juice. Very fresh.

Our visit here was wonderful.
For lunch, the menu was all Mexican food and no Italian. We had the red enchiladas and chicken tacos. The food was good and the cucumber margarita and sangria were tasty. The service was top notch.
I would go back again and would recommend it to a friend.

We don't normally go to restaurants around the zocolo, but Mita Gourmet is worth the visit.

We had the Caesar Salad and Chiles Rellenas con queso. Both were very well presented and tasty. Portion size was adequate and not overly large.

Service was excellent and personable. The live music was a fine touch for atmosphere.

Reservations are highly recommended, as this is a deservedly popular restaurant.

First off, some of the reviews are way off! I have been a chef in San Diego for 25 years, the chef owner here is fantastic. He makes things to order, the way you want, any sauce you like.
My wife made the reservations for the wrong day, he had his guys move a table out and squeezed us in. Love this place!

Mita Gourmet is one of our favorite restaurants in Loreto. The owner and chef, Juan Carlos and his family are lovely, caring, and fun people. The food is beyond excellent!

Excellent food. Chef talks to you about preferences. Top shelf drinks. The paella is worth the 2000 miles we travel every year to get it. Highly recommend.

Great restaurant right on the central historic plaza. The chicken fajita and seafood chili relleno were excellent. Free wifi & clean banos with TP!! Fantastic cappuccino - Bloody Mary & complimentary Tamarind Margaritas after lunch!!!

Most recently I had dinner, caprese salad and pasta puttanesca. Both were excellent. The chef and owner took our orders, was able to describe the dishes of course and add or alter the dishes.

The food and service here was amazing! The chef took everyone’s order personally. I have a gluten allergy and they went over each ingredient and how it was cooked to make sure it was safe. We were very impressed how they went above and beyond. Highly recommend.

Went for lunch here when The Ruby Princess docked in Loreto. Food was food and service excellent. Had a bit of a language issue with enslade vs enchilada but was quickly rectified. My travel partner is a margarita fan and said they made the best one she’s had in Mexico!

Such a special place to dine with great food and the best seat in town. Wonderful food and personable service. A must in Loreto.

If you want a great night, hosted by terrific people, stop by this restaurant. I had the clams, diablo shrimp, and plenty of cervecas (they aren't angel shrimp). This restaurant is worth the stop, I walked around for an hour tonight even though have stayed in loreto several times, and I am glad I have this establishment a try, the service is too notch!

What a pleasant surprise!
We had lunch here today.
My partner had Chile Relleno with mariscos
And I had Chile Relleno with cheese.
The mariscos included shrimp scallops octopus with a specific citrus sauce. Delicious.
Mine was with cheese and very tasty too.
The kicker was the Chile poblanos were well cooked, tender, and PEELED. That isn't always the case, but makes a big difference.
We each had the included pinto bean soup with bacon and other vegetables.
It was perfect.
All this while seated outside in the shade with lots of plants and birds.
For us this is a real winner.

Best clam chowder we ever ate! Loved the fresh guacamole too! Steak not so good but the stuffed white sea bass was to die for!!!

Our favorite meal during our two week trip to Loreto! The stuffed chicken was phenomenal as was the shrimp plaza dish. Clams,Cesar salad and relleno were also delicious. Great service too!

Absolutely delicious. I recommend the cucumber margarita and the "Chile relleno de mariscos" - so good!

Wonderful mole con pollo, with tasty soup, rice, and tortillas!
